SandBlasting Rust off Dump truck lorry 8 Wheeler wagon

Back to basic time-lapse of me doing my work please enjoy!
Today I prep the tub on a dump truck tipper for paint removing rust, paint etc keying the surface to leave a perfect "back to steel surface" ready for a new coat of paint

As always thanks for watching much appreciated!
Hard doing for easy viewing :)
If you are a blaster and require help please drop me a message on here. PLEASE don't email or call asking advice on how to setup or operate your Rig. I need to prioritise my free time doing work calls, emails and quote enquiries. I will always try to respond to comments on my videos :)

    Hi my blast pot is a generic pressure pot sizes I use a few different pots all basically the same just some are larger than others from 2 x 25kg hopper to 8x 25kg hopper all very in blast time etc that all depends on the surface and how fast its coming off no blanket time for a similar job too many verbals to say this job should take this long if you get me?

    Yeah loads of different ways to pull the job off I like the motility of a small ish van instead of a wagon but I will be honest I'm pushing its limits on a daily basis so possibly not the best option available. What media gradient do you prefer for very rusty metal with deep pitted black rust blisters?

  • @Mobileblaster

    @Mobileblaster

    Жыл бұрын

    Depends on how heavy the scale is. My line of work fine and fine+ crushed glass works well. If I was working on something slightly thicker scale ie steel portal buildings I would look into a heavier grade of media not more course as some would think.

  • @WHYKICKAMOOCOW100
    @WHYKICKAMOOCOW100 Жыл бұрын

    Did you increase the media flow or change nozzle size to speed up work rate from the roll over sheet arm to the back? Fine glass media? Nice job BTW.

  • @Mobileblaster

    @Mobileblaster

    Жыл бұрын

    I started out with the XL nosel but I could feel and see the pattern just off I checked and sure enough I need a new 1 so I would be down on psi with a slightly worn nose I knew I would be pushed for time with the wheels and underside so I opted for optimal psi and use a general nose to get 100 psi. at the start I was using super fine glass on the head board the sides was medium glass. I do play with the video speed to fit as much into the video as possible so some areas may look faster than others but mainly its just editing speed to make the video flow nice :)

    How come you don’t run the compressor on red?

  • @Mobileblaster

    @Mobileblaster

    Illegal as of 1st April 2022 for any business to use Red diesel only exceptions is farmers golf courses and private none business use to produce power zero perpultion for private or business only a very few small niche of folk can still use it. Wondered why buildings and food has gone up? Every industry has been affected and zero media coverage. Yes I can still buy it not a problem its when I come to do my books I cannot use the red against the books so they don't even have to dip ya tank. Seen the latest? Clean air zone only affects small business anything that's new or nearly new is free anything business use older than euro 6 10£ a day fine for each city I visit including compressor for me to work in a city its an extra 70£ per day but if I was a bigger business and could afford new van and new compressor it's free totally a tax on the poor or small businesses and they wonder why so many people are unemployed
