The story Toriyama envisioned beyond the end of his manga, I always thought we would get a manga sequel if game sales would do well, but to think he had the idea for angels back then. I wonder if we’ll get a secret boss from the dragon ball universe

From what ive read Toriyama stated he didn't like drawing sand land cause it was a frustrating process drawing the mechanics and such so it might not have happened regardless.

@@omegashenron8 but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have a story idea already in writing, and since his recent interview stated that he only did character art for new projects, he probably released his written plot ideas and let the team do the mechanics

​@@bigguy952 Of course there's always a possibility of him leaving behind a plot for a sequel someone else can pick up but my point was that a sequel manga wasn't likely to happen that had him 100% involved with making it like the prequel as OP alluded. I don't think Toriyama liked the process of creating manga as much as he did drawing if his interviews are anything to go by. As well as the fact that he's mostly only done Character designs after DB and everything he's done manga wise since then have been one shots or only a handful of chapters. Plus Jaco was to be his final manga that he personally worked on himself.

So excited to see an expansion on this world. Beelzebub, Shiba, and Thief was such a good squad. This game will have a special spot in all our hearts. If you haven't played the demo i recommend it, the game is smooth and fun not clunky feeling.

just finished reading the manga a few days ago, looks like this expanded on a lot of things, I wonder if it had toriyamas input or its from the developers themselves, regardless looking forward to play it

@@CodyslxGiven that the song is in the public domain, it doesn't seem like it would be expensive to use. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing it being used as a homage to many upcoming series, especially those set in wartime. Who knows, maybe this song will become a staple in the industry for years to come.

I couldn't help but picture the finale of the Luffy vs Crocodile fight in my head while listening to this. Which is fitting considering Crocodile is a sand user and Oda was heavily influenced by Akira Toriyama.

It's not exclusively a song made for One Piece, as I'm like, ninety percent sure the song predates Oda's work. That probably is the place most peope would know it from though. It's also a very fitting song given it's name and the theme in this trailer. But yeah, Luffy vs Crocodile is the place my mind always jumps to when I hear this. Either that or the fight on the moon between Asura and Augus in Asura's wrath.

Honestly when I heard the song my first thought was Asura's wrath, but now that you mention it I can totally see where Oda got the idea from, I hope he's doing okay

I wish there was a third arc on the ocean. Though thankful Toriyama did give a follow up on forest land.

This trailer is what single-handidly convinced me to watch the anime, and I don't regret it at all.

Wait so this continues the story after season 1 of the anime ?!

As someone whom loves to create content for games (from an artistic perspective), whether paint liveries in Forza Motorsport or original gaming environments in HALO (via Forge) and Fortnite (via Creatve), I MUST SAY that "Sand Land" could grow into something huge! From my perspective, I suggest a business plan of making it grow (over time) into Fortnite's biggest rival. In these words, you likely understand what I'm suggesting. Continue to support and add to THIS game with those future goals in mind, with plans to branch out using the creative assets developed here. I love what I'm seeing and I hope to see it bloom into what I know it could be!

Baffles me this hasn't been announced for Switch.
