Sanctuary Greenhouse 🌽 Fallout 4 No Mods Shop Class

Ойындар

In this video, I'll give you a quick tour of my Sanctuary Greenhouse. It's a three-story hydroponic greenhouse, with corn, mutfruit, tatos, carrots, gourds, melons, and some other nifty crops. All done without mods!

    @@namelessband4L123 Had my husband been murdered that might have felt extremely uncomfortable. He died of a heart attack while he was at work, so my brain didn't really make the connection. I think, if anything, I was able to use the Sole Survivor's situation as an outlet for my grief. It's rather similar to the writing I do. Journaling never did much for me, but I can create a fictional character and pour all the chaotic feelings into a person who exists only in my mind. I'm not sure that answers your question, but there you have it.

    I most recently had a build inspired by the walled city of Kowloon. I built a walled structure of the concrete blocks from the Warehouse parts and built it 1 block short of the upper bound limit (I used County Crossing as it had a big, flat surface to use). I then built a generator shack, then started building haphazardly from the top down. I made it mazelike and dangerous with lots if exposed lighting and a mix of the more ramshackle shack bits and mis-matched metal walls. I then spread out random-ass light strings, cycling lights, fancy chandeliers, any sort of random lights. Although I didn't put a lot of effort into the interiors (I just used Sim Settlements to create interior plots) I am happy with the warren of stairs, quarters, dangerous drops, sparks, and other mess in the actual structure. Had to abuse the heck out of the settlement size glitch though...

    I never thanked you for your tutorials. I use a lot of the lessons I learned from the no mod shop and even helped me and my spouse plan furnishing our apartment using it as a fun improvised CAD. A lot of build tutorials have architecture tastes a bit different from my own and your style vibes a lot closer to my own. Nothing wrong with other youtubers' styles, though because everyone has different tastes. I've since broke down and started using mods but the fundamentals of the no mod shop are still essential for making things look right. Also for your future Far Harbor updates, I think you'll find that clear weather shells doesn't last long especially by the Lumber Yard, which is a shame because the natural unfogged palette of colors for that DLC is beautiful and vibrant

    Very nice, I made a furniture store, using all the furniture, rugs, and stuff from the Sanctuary houses. For each house put the rug outside the house and then put the furniture on it and then moved the rug into the building. Made living room, Kitchen, and office sections in the store using only what I could move of the original items. Made it in the same place you made this. Make a bar on the other side of the 'workstation house'. used a lot of glass also. Inside area and outside seating. Currently I have a covid testing station as the entry at the bridge. Tried to do that glass railing idea you did in another video, but due to having 3 flat roof ties I am having issues getting two of them up there on the flat roof edge. Might have to do some "Paul Glitching" - heehee.

    Saw another builder video, make grow tables out of Vault Table, Rug, and plants and they will grow. Also echo purple lights.. can the square lights be placed horizontally under a fluorescent fixture? Or even a box fluorescent light covered in purple tile lights. Another idea is use the conduits as distribution pipes over the growing beds, about 6" above the surface. Could also attach an alarm clock or small electronic device over the pipe to simulate a ph/water quality meter. Someone mentioned aquaponics (using fish water as a nutrient source for the plants) and I was wondering on how to build a large tank... 3 concrete walls and a glass wall, snap water on top, insert fish somehow (where to get fish.. mahkra packing?).

    I thought about that actually but just one wouldn't do. I'd have to add a bunch and then it would look crowded. So I abandoned the idea. Too bad there isn't just a faucet piece that you can turn on and leave on.

    Hi Paul, great video as always! I rarely put items on tables, like how you put bags of fertilizer and corn, etc., as i find they will eventually fall through and i just can't be bothered picking up and replacing them. Do you have the same issue after you've posted your videos?

  • @SkooledZone

    @SkooledZone

    Yeah mine do too. It's because Bethesda programmed the wrong load order into the game. Small items first instead of big items first. That means the small items on tables appear before the larger tables they're on. Hopefully they fix that in Fallout 5. Here's one way to fix the problem for now: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dmtqqrRpY5zTdKw.html

    Not long ago, I dug up some FO4 on XBOX and I was doing some building around on my Minutemen character. And man did I have a hell of a time (LOTS of tricky pillar glitching), but I managed to make the Costal cottage into a sort of border checkpoint/rest stop as it's the last settlement before Far Harbor (and all settlers, including ghouls, dressed in Minutemen uniforms, except for the medics). Thought of showing off something for the class on that one?

    Oh wow! I just realized that you're uploading some recently. That's awesome! One of your videos I seen this in the background which gave me some ideas. I do have a question about something but let me explain kind of what I did. I actually made a 4 story elevator on that same plot. I didn’t notice the elevator thing until I built things above the main house that they work on "for years". Lol So when I put the elevator in, I did have some trouble getting the two buildings together since they are at a different angle. I got it the way I actually like. Here's the question. On the elevator, there's buttons to push to go to which floor, 4 levels...4 buttons. I just noticed yesterday that it's gone. Those buttons. Any way to get them back? I like to enter at the bottom of that plot so I have access to a workbench that I can quickly transfer but I do enjoy going up to my floor on the top which has all of my special things. Since the buttons are gone from the elevator, I gotta walk up the steps. I think I may have broken it by accidentally throwing a frag when moving things around. I did try to destroy the buttons from a new one I made just to see if that was it but for some reason I can't. Maybe bug. I should probably just start over with building sanctuary since I've been learning at lot from your videos. I did try to put a new elevator in the same place but it won't snap in. Apologies for the long comment. There's so much more to learn from you and I truly appreciate your videos! I'm glad I read that comment in the reviews section for this game on Xbox to look you up. You simplify things. I wouldn't be surprised if you're a real teacher. I have problems with comprehension so your videos make it so much better. You also sound very cool. Since you are taking bitcoin, I'm going to message you somehow so I can send you money because you definitely deserve it considering all the things I've learned and haven't even put a dent into all of your videos. Haha. You're the man!

    Just some updated knowledge for you no one uses fluorescent lights to grow and haven’t for over 20 years lol they aren’t powerful enough to grow plants especially compared to LEDs designed specifically for growing plants, grow lights specifically go up to an average 1000 watts where as fluorescent is roughly 60-100 at best and that’s really giving it a benefit of a doubt and even in greenhouses you still need extremely powerful lights and certain spectrums which fluorescent can’t provide. You’ll get roughly 80% failure rate at min which if your growing food is a massive waste of food.
