    Yes, Day Tripper is hard to come by. I had around about almost 60 that I had scavenged on my own the legit way, I would have had even more, but I had used some through my gameplay process. So I did use the Cheat Terminal to give me just a few more bottles of that Day Tripper just so I wouldn't have to go scavenge some more. Since it takes around about 48 hours for stuff to respawn, this build would have taken much longer. Thanks so much for watching the video!

    Hi Denise, that is an amazing build! Wow! The building itself is cool, but the decoration, it's stunning. I love the dividers you use for the checkout queues. The way you synchronised the fan blades, I didn't know you could do that. it must take ages to even collect all the items, never mind putting them on the shelves. The cooler where you have the bottles of pop is brilliant. Thank-you for taking the time to share this build, It's made my day. Take care Christopher

    Hi Eze, thank you so much for watching! I am glad you liked this place. It took quite a bit of work. There is some screen bouncing going on but the frame rate just couldn't be helped. I am happy the video came out viewable to most hopefully without any queasiness, lol! I love to junk decorate, so this is one of the things I am kind of know for in the community, probably more than anything else. My haunted house builds, I reckon. Anyhow, I am so happy that you took the time to watch, I am sorry for my delayed reply, as I found this message just now. But says it was posted 2 weeks ago. Sheesh, KZread. grrr.

    I guess all those years of working in retail stuck with you. Such and amazing job. If anyone is reading this comment besides Phoenix, if she says something is a pain to stack, you should listen to her. I have no doubt that she has stacked and junk decorated more than anyone else. When in doubt ask her how to decorate with something, she will know how it works. She is the master, and all show bow down to her abilities. You know I love you Denise, and even though I had see quite a bit of this while you were building it looks amazing all completed. Much love and support. Can't wait to see your next endeavor.

    I just want you to know Phoenix this is one if not the best decorated settlements i have ever seen. The grocery store in and of itself is unbelievable. So beautiful and so time consuming. I was thrilled to hear you did it all by hand, most others i have seen people have used decorator mod. The purist that i am says my hat is off to you for doing on your own. Ha ha ha, your tomatoes are making a desperate bid for freedom, reminded me of the Muppet Show, bouncing and singing tomatoes. Thank you thank you, I’m working on the finer details of the Spectacle Island build and was stuck on the odds and sods shop, I had filled it with all manner of crap and wasn’t overly happy with it. This has certainly helped, so much colour and detail. You have a lot of patience.

    Amazing as always, your attention to detail and patience are beyond belief. Very nice use of the conveyor belt for the shop, I used them as treadmills, using various electronic consoles and crossbars to make a handle bar. Most of all, I am just happy to see someone else who knows the right way to install a booth! The bar goes against the wall! XD

    lol, you are so funny! Now that you mention it, I do see alot of folks facing the booths the wrong way. Then I started wondering if I was doing it wrong. I love that idea for a treadmill too, my friend UndeadViking did a little tutorial on how he built one. It was pretty cool, though your design sounds much more detailed! I might try making one one day. Glad you enjoyed this crazy grocery store!! Kinda makes me wanna go shopping! :)

    The basic design is just 3 items (not counting the power wires, etc.), and it varied depending on what I had access to, without mods, you can use the power conduits and the switch box from contraptions to make the handles. Though my original design used some of the electronic decorations from SOE or Homemaker, and a clothing line pole that I sunk into the ground. Here is a pic of 2 versions I built real quickly as examples, the left one is vanilla (contraptions DLC), the right is with mods and console commands to reduce the size of the conveyor and clothes line (84%). I did one where I sank the belt into the ground a bit too, so it was easier to step on, that was kind of fun, you can use it as a moving sidewalk. That was no longer a treadmill any longer then... Another amazing build! Those coolers! The conveyor belts! Don't be bothered by thinking you needed one more level or row of products on the shelves - it was PERFECT! I loved the precision of it all. I could imagine one of the 'bots occasionally floating through and pausing to slightly adjust anything that wasn't just right. (Was there a scene like that in WALL-E?) So fitting for Graygarden. I also love the round window merged into the regular windows in the barber shop. The attack of the killer (but obviously incredibly fresh!) tomatoes made me laugh!

    Thank you! The majority of the items I collected myself, yes. Though if I thought I needed more, I did use the Cheat Terminal to give myself a few more of the items if the shelf wasn't completely full so that I wouldn't have to travel back to Sommerville to pick up more supplies that I had stored there. Mostly the use of the Cheat Terminal was to save time and not have to keep running back and forth. But yah, I did all of this by hand. I will be doing another tutorial on how I decorate like this very soon. I have a subscriber that would like to see how I decorated with some of the smaller items, like the medicine bottles. I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour! And what fun we have been having in the streams! I am glad to know you, thanks again!

They are not even or straight in the least, but that is okay. I have a subscriber that want me to show how I stacked the medicine bottles. How did you like the walk-in cooler?

    :) it's funny how much time we put into the small details like making sure everything is perfectly straight or lined up just so, but people who watch don't necessarily catch the small details that you obsess over. I didn't even notice the shelves weren't as straight as possible. Those coolers are really "cool"? Ha I like them. They fit perfectly in the world. Well, great stuff as always! Keep up the great work Denise :)

    Once again, Denise ... in-freakin'-credible! My son and I watched this on the 55" today ... with our tongues hanging out. :-) Each time I watch this, I notice something new (like your "barcode scanner", this time. lol) A few questions for you, though: First of all, where are those two pillars at the entrance from? Where did you get so many bobbleheads -- did you console command duplicates into your game? Those Far Harbor mugs -- how did you GET those?! I had to STEAL mine. (And boy, did that shop-keeper get PO'ed about THAT!) And finally, like so many of your faithful fans, I too would LOVE to see how you build those pop coolers!

    hello Al, nice to see you, as always! Thanks for watching, and your son too, glad you all liked it! And I would love to answer your questions, of course! For the first question, those pillar thingies are in the Nuka World decorations tab, under the Nuka Town USA tab, which is the very first tab. For the Bobbleheads, I did use the Cheat Terminal to give me an extra batch so that I could have both set ups for each register. The Far Harbor mugs were also in the Cheat Terminal, I tried to steal mine too, but I was never successful. And yes, most definitely I will be doing a tutorial on how to build the walk-in pop cooler! I hope that was helpful, holler at me if I can answer anymore questions. I'm also going to be doing another decorating video. If there is a certain item that you or your son would like to see me stack or stock, just let me know! Take care and speak soon!

    Thanks, Denise! Neither of us had ever noticed those in the Nuka World tab. (Settlement building is all I let my son do -- he's only 14.) Just one more quick one: When you say "Cheat Terminal", are you referring to the in-game console (using the ~ on PC) ... or is that something else you're using/accessing?

  • @denster77

    @denster77

    You're welcome! The Cheat Terminal is a mod that just gives you items that are already in the Vanilla game, usually junk items, quest items or clothing you have collected before in which you can duplicate them or have them given to you in certain amounts. For example, the Swan Boat Fragments I sold a long time ago because I had no idea I could use them as decorations. So I used the Cheat Terminal mod to give that item back to myself. The build itself is built and decorated without mods though. I hope that makes sense and is helpful!

    Yeah, you're right, Denise is certainly one of a kind. :) I know, I'm looking at trying to get Summerville out by the start of next week, if I'm able to decorate the place up and finish the main building as a command centre because I forgot to do that before I started the decorating. I need to watch your video on how to fix the place up again before I get to building it lol I don't know, have you seen my last attempt at Hangman's? Hehehe it's shockingly bad. I liked your build, it's got a nice kind of simplicity to it, it's not over done and has your distinct style to it :) Yeah, that'll be good for you to have a more regular schedule, if only so you're not having your home life screwed up by strange sleeping times. :) *hugs*

    Yes, I placed everything by dropping it on the ground, picking it up and placing each item on the shelf. No mods were used at all. I'm pretty used to decorating this way, so it's not a big deal for me. I know it's very daunting for most folks, so I was hoping this video would inspire folks who might get deflated when trying to hand junk decorate. Thank you so much for watching and for all the lovely compliments! :)

    _Really really_ love how you did the split level here, and I'm gonna definitely use that trough-and-fence-post bin combination; so perfect! It's safe to say there are more items in this store than there are in every single one of my settlements in all of my save games combined haha And when you said "...there's over 400 pieces of corn," I swear my right thumb immediately cramped up on its own. :P This is astonishing and fantastic in every way. How in the world do you get things to stay on the shelves and not get knocked off? I guess not having settlers wandering around helps?

  • @denster77

    @denster77

    7 жыл бұрын

    Thanks, Sar! This was a long time coming build so early on I fiddled with the split level thing. I originally had it off kilter by a hair so stuff wouldn't snap right, but once I fixed that, it was smooth sailing with the rest of the build. I also had the level a bit wider but realized if I wanted some seperate departments I would have to take up both sides and only make the walk down 2 wide with 4 of the walkways from the scaffolding stuff. LOL, did you like that over 400 pieces of corn? well i just dropped them on the floor and plopped them in those bucket thingies I made. It wasn't hard, just took awhile. Your veggies will stay put, except the Tatos will jump out of their own accord. Honestly, I think if I would have had more settlers, they would have knocked over a few items, but not many. Their pathing (at least i don't think) would have made them traverse towards those back walls to really mess it up. But more often than not, I think I just get lucky. There were quite a few folks in the flower shop and they didnn't knock but maybe 1 thing over. Still, it's not something I bank on, tragedy can strike at any time, lol :)

    I enjoy stocking the shelves manually, no biggie. It allows me to put things where I want. I am so used to stocking manually, it's like second nature to me. I did try the Do It Yourshelf mod at one time, and also OC Decorator. They were alright, but just not for me. And not having them cut down drastically on my mods and how many I was running at one time, so that helped out a lot. :)

Thank you so much, just wanna make sure I'm going to show you a video that is going to help you with specific items. The ones I did before were me stacking clothes and one of my stacking Turpentine, kitchen scales, microscopes and some other medical items. But i haven't ever shown how I stack the medicine bottles. maybe that could also be one that I show too? Let me know :)

    Phoenix the medicine bottles would be great, how in the world do get stuff on every shelf. I've tried modded with and without OCDecorator; and unmodded seems even worse. Though I can get them facing the right direction now. But see you even get boxes full of corn and tatoes and they are close together and I could go on. But I can do plates😀

  • @denster77

    Well, I actually find that OCDecorator, for me, is actually harder to decorate with because it feels restrictive. It's nice, don't get me wrong, but I like things to be stocked very close together and it seems like I can't stack and get things just the way I want them when I don't have the freedom to rotate and place the item myself. My friend StaciPlaysFallout did a really great tutorial on how to decorate the big yellow shelving with the OCDecorator. If you haven't seen it, I will leave you the link to that, it might be helpful for you as well. But don't worry I will show you how I did some of that decorating at the grocery store too! I will leave that link it a seperate message so you can find it easier!
