Every day, when I go to university, I see a lot of Ukrainian women with their children, every day I cry seeing the pain in their eyes, the longing for their husbands, the fear for their children, the fear for tomorrow. This song captures the feelings beautifully, but what is happening cannot be told or sung. In Polish, the text is much stronger and more poetic. This song is so deep , I am Polish I understand all text , content . Oh my God , I did not cry for at least 5 years , I am men and today that song juice tear on my cheek .

BTW. Sanah is the special artist. She is on the stage about 3 years from the first hit "Szampan". But today she has about 30+ great songs. Her voice is angelic. But best part iin her songs is the lirycs... True true talent.

This is a Polish and Ukrainian song because what Ukraine is going through, Poland has already gone through during 53 years of Russian occupation (During Communism) and before when Hitler along with Stalin invaded Poland in 1939. It's a scream of a family. First we have a Ukrainian child pleading to take her away to safety. Then the mom saying that invaders (Russians) can take everything they want but after that they need to return home. After that there is a dad who is helpless because he can't protect his family. He remembers the old times when it was safe in his country.

A mother who would gie anything for the peace and safety of her family. On the other hand, bearing in mind that the melody of the song refers to the work known in Poland: "Prząśniczka" composed by Stanisław Mioniuszko in 1846 (every Pole knows this piece from music lessons in primary school; many people remember itswords), one can assume a wider context. In old Poland, it was the motherland that was referred to as the "mother", and all citizens were its "children". If we look at the words of the song in this sense, then the drama of a soldier fighting for peace to his homeland appears.
