No PR’s, no looking at watts or HR. This was just an absolutely epic day to be out on the bike. Every view was stunning and riding the dirt was like skiing an a freshly groomed run. Thanks Zack. You are right when you say we may not be able to top this one.

it was fun watching this coming from Atascadero and riding some of these roads on my diverge (I like the ride to Firestone Brewery :> ). Everyone generally calls it 'vinyard and not vign-yard' generally round these parts. Hey - thanks for the video truly enjoyed it.

I was there was more along the coast, but some good riding in SLO County

Great video of a route I’ve done many times. You can also start in Cayucos and take Santa Rosa road up to Cypress Mountain Road, though it s a much tougher climb than Old Creek, though even more scenic. Then do the route shown on Cypress Mounta8n and Santa Rita but take Old Creek back to Hwy 46 as shown in the video and take Santa Rosa back to Cayucos.

Great vid! A couple questions for ya: 1) would you base out of SLO or Paso or somewhere else if you wanted to do this loop and others like it in Feb? 2) would you bring a road bike with 32mm tires or a gravel bike if you were riding in this area? Many thanks!

I think you're more central in Paso. Also, if you've seen the Eroica video which covers a good part of this loop, I did that comfortably on 32s.

I was on 40s, but Bill on 35s. I might have been able to do it on my 32s..

Bicycles, ebikes and escooters are great options for last mile, short distance travel. Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles by providing safe, protected bike lanes and trails. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Bicycles are healthy exercise and fossil fuels free transportation. Electric bicycles are bringing many older adults back to cycling. Every child should plant a tree, bush or flowers wiith a parent or teacher. It will help connect them to nature and the environment.

Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun. Every city should be a bicycle city. Speak up for bicycles in your community.
