They better put up the game of their lives against Alabama then assuming they take care of business against Maryland. Even if it’s the Terrapins, history isn’t for the Aztecs’ side since they never made it past the Sweet 16 before.

@@jbenz1990 would've been the top 2 seed. Both there losses were by 3 points. Daytons 2 losses in OT wouldve been the last 1 seed. Although theres usually no difference between being a 1 or 2 so not like it really mattered

San Diego State began playing at a higher tempo (cool to watch them play fast) in the second half realizing that Furman was getting gassed - to gas them more.

you could tell SDSU was gonna win after the first 10-15mins into the game when their defense adjusted and clamped down. literally almost no open space to work for Furman. death by suffocation

They looked good the first couple minutes but soon as I seen state go up by 10 and Furman still couldn't score or get together I said yup there gonna get blowed out and I fast-forwarded the highlights cause I didn't get to watch the game but sure enough stage was up by 25 points, but hates off to Furman for getting here!

My brother asked me what type of team the Aztecs are.?. The Pistons of Detroit. This is what I'm seeing from this team , past 10 years! They just haven't reach NCAA finals out of being too confident of opponents skill level as those losses were from lesser skilled teams on any given day motto. But I believe they' will , at least the Final 4 this year!!!

There’s still Princeton at least, they face the Creighton-Baylor winner and still Fairleigh Dickinson could beat Florida Atlantic. FAU would be sort of a Cinderella too.

If San Diego State was up against Northwestern on a neutral court, it is anyone's match. I have both of these teams play and they are similar to each other in terms of basketball ability. But both of these teams are strong.

​​@@sneakervulture 2 degree you are correct, but they played some really tough teams consistently in the mountain West and pulled away as the season ended on a top 5 conference. So their body of work is part of the diagnosis.

If Alabama is not at full strength or SDSU faces Maryland in the next round, then SDSU stands a chance. If they are facing Alabama at full strength, then Alabama takes it over SDSU.
