That's the problem with having famous actors in your games, they are a nightmare to remaster, you have to pay the actors AGAIN to use their faces...and in this case, they had to re-record the dialogues and redo the soundtrack. Take note, industry, stop putting famous people in your games!

To be fair, between Devil May Cry 5, Monster Hunter World and REsident Evil 2... I'm willing to argue CAPCOM has been hitting a new glory era. Especially with the kind of crap Ubisoft, Bethesda, Konami, Blizzard and whatever else developer has been (rightfully) going through.

@@dragonraizen DMCV already has microtransactions announced, and God only know how much are they going to milk REmake 2...I'm optimistic about Capcom, but then again, I remember Street Fighter V and Marvel Infinite.

@@Jose-se9pu As long as the game is good who cares. The mtx are all optional and you can just choose to ignore them. Capcom has been for me the best developers since last year because they release games that are actually fun and interesting.

@@Jose-se9pu marvel infinite wasn't really their problem, they loved that game but just couldn't do as much. While sfv at launch was bad, the constant updates have brought it far.

i remember when i first played Onimusha and got to that part, killed the game for me until i figured it out (didnt have internet at the time)

God....the nostalgia is real man, literally the first PS2 game I ever bought, and definitely the Dark Souls of my childhood lol

This game scared me so much as a kid. Max now has me feel like playing this now I’m older

that was my favorite stream! I loved how the combination of Max and JJ that Max is the muscle and JJ is the brains! :D the best!

When this was announced for remaster I started streaming from my original xbox. I played Genma Onimusha. When the remaster released I played this and got a host from a good friend during stream... I also got affiliate on twitch! This game will always be one I'm glad I picked up in my 20's it quite literally was a life changer for me.

They need to put Hisako into Onimusha.

Hahahaha pretty cool highlight video. And please, PLEASE, keep that sweet metal music coming in videos like these. It fits well, fun to hear in the background and adds a lot of coolness to the scenes

Thanks for this. As a kid i'd watch my brother play day and night. The cousins would come over and instead of movie nights it'd be onimusha night haha!

Fun fact, development for this game started as "Sengoku Biohazard", literally "Samurai Resident Evil"

He would be awesome in Capcom All Stars or Capcom Fighters whatever the game will be called. Id love to see him and his whole crew

There’s a game called “Onimusha Warriors “ for the PS2.

I'd buy this HD remaster if it had all three games, even if I already have 'em on the original PS2. And even Dawn Of Dreams, everybody forgets this one.

Can I just say holy cow Max has upgraded his facecam tech. So crisp and focused.

Hopefully, one day we can get all the other Onimusha games in HD.

Heyyy, my favourite PS2 game series. I played through all of these again last year and was surprised by how much I loved Onimusha 1. Hope a ton of people play the remaster. Changing weapons on the fly is a huge quality-of-life fix. I still think Onimusha 3 is the best but I enjoyed the first game more when I replayed the series, just because I played 3 so much.

played through this while waiting for RE 2, it's a good one hope we get the other ones as well.

I was pretty hyped when I heard they where bringing this back. That excitement went away when I learned that this wasn't the "Genma" version. Like seriously why even re-release it if you aren't gonna give people the better version?

Everything had a Devil Trigger back in the day. They love the white hair. so metal!

I played this for the first time yesterday since it was out on ps2 and I was in college. I actually used to think this was like an eight hour game. I had a two hour clear time and managed to ruin my own childhood in the process. And so I played it again

great game but soo much great to see max playing it

I wish they released the enhanced Xbox version Genma Onimusha. Hopefully one day they will.

The RE engine is pretty cool but hopefully they dont do the EA thing and use it for every game like frostbite, frostbite is pretty cool too but it was designed for shooters not sports games and rpgs.

I dunno about the nioh part, it was enjoyable, but no matter what you wore, one was as frail as glass, unless you had some really out of the player’s way tactics

Can you tell me about onimusha story? I play that game while but i forgot storyline

In terms of story and presentation, the 1st onimusha was and is the best in the series.

I remember playing a lot of third and second game but i've never played the first.

I found this game for like $3 at my local game/card shop/arcade like 3 years ago I had fun with it got to the end but never beat it

I loved the puzzles too LOL

The insertion of "BFG Div" makes any game hype as hell.

Don't forget, when you play Dawn of Dreams, there is a hidden Co-op mode!

I remember it being harder back in day.felt like they cropped it.i may have been stoned when it first came out lol.

The ones I know are the KOF14 ones. First is Soy sauce for Koyadofu (Geese team theme), Venator Ballare (New invitation team theme) and KD-SR (K' team theme)

I absolutely love onimusha, and resident evil, but not alot of fighting games lately
