Just fixed mine without having to spend a dime. If you take the back plate off of the machine and manually spin the tub using the round Rotor, you should be able to see if it’s the same problem. The rotor on mine was rubbing the stator which is behind the rotor. 1 single bolt and you can remove the rotor. The stator has copper on it. This is what slows your tub down. I took the stator off and there were 3 bolts on the back that were all loose “like never factory tightened”. The rotor was rubbing against the stator “a high spot” because the stator was not properly “spaced” on the hub because of these loose bolts. It took a couple tries but the stator MUST be centered on the mounting hub. You can test it be simply placing the rotor back onto the gear and spinning it manually. This fixed the problem once the spacing was correct with the stator and mounting hub. Hope this helps someone.

It all depends, to a certain extent on which direction the machine spins. If it spins Anticlockwise it may favour the right side of the cabinet. My two Zanussi, Privileg & AEG spin Anticlockwise. If it spins Clockwise it may favour the left side of the cabinet. My Hotpoint, Hoover, Servis & Míele spin Clockwise. There're other factors too, like what items make up the wash load. Whether the machine has a distribution period, prior to the main spin, is another factor, alot of European machines tend to do regular wash/rinse tumbles after draining, then when the timer moves on, they jump straight into 400RPM or 500RPM spin phases before the following rinse commences, which doesnae give the load time to evenly distribute.

Mine didn’t. If my top loader squeaked, I could’ve got it repaired by a appliance repairman based in Gwinnett County, GA

my GE had the same noise. Change the settings on how you wash. I set mine to "Gentle/fast" and the noise went away.

Your shocks are bad or you simply have something stuck between your gaskets or under the drum tub

The reason for the helluva squeak and the rattling banging noise is the fact the load isnae balanced evenly. Look at how much the drum is jerking, that indicates the imbalance. The squeaking is the struts the drum sits on, and the banging is the outer drum catching the side panels of the cabinet. There isnae a sufficient quantity of a load in the drum, that's why the machine cuts out as it's speedin' up, the imbalance sensor has cut in to protect the machine. If you regularly wash only half loads, you'd be better off with a 5KG machine, not a 9KG+ capacity machine.

The issue is in North America, the smallest washer anyone makes is about 4.2cu and the average is 4.5cu. Unless you go for a 24" machine but those are really expensive and tiny

@@marco.morel04 I'm not trying to be awkward, or wilfully dense, but what KG capacity do the "regular" CU capacities equate to? The largest KG capacity washer dryer combi (01 machine housing both washer & dryer), rather than the American side by side/stacks, is 09KG Wash/07KG drying, it's an AEG Lavamat Turbo L87696WD, 1600RPM. I'm also aware in the US, that top loaders were more popular in the past, but also there arenae many models that generally exceed say 1150RPM, whereas in the UK the most common spin dry speeds are either 1200RPM or 1400RPM.

@@marco.morel04 an additional note, all 08 machines in my collection are washer dryer combi's, due to the fact of this, most of them have an altered spin pattern, which I tend to use over the regular spin dry phase, known by AEG or Bosch as IVS (Interval spin).

@@WD860 yes, according to Samsung their 4.0cu machine can hold maximum of 12 pounds of laundry which would equal 5.4kg if I did my measurements right. Top loaders are more popular but because of regulations our EPA has put in place on how much water can be used, top loaders are essentially useless as the don't get your clothes clean anymore. I also noticed that suspensions differ depending on the country they're being sold in like in the U.S. we get LG's basic suspension setup where in Europe LG sells their Centum system which is miles better than what we get here

@@marco.morel04 Possibly, from the size the machine looks, I'd've guesstimated somewhere between 07KG & 10KG or more, but I could be wrong. A Samsung Big Wash BJ coded model holds a regular "family" wash load of 05KG to 06KG, housed in a regular UK washer cabinet. Like this Hoover Ecologic, this's a regular/common 05KG family load machine, although an older model. www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=8xS6acJh&id=D3B270B53FB50BAEBC45CB3E43835F956D8AC349&thid=OIP.8xS6acJho6t6U_qRT1OIVQHaIP&mediaurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.automaticwasher.org%2FTD%2FAWJPEG%2FSHP%2F2013%2Fhooverzanmiele++12-29-2013-07-26-59.jpg&exph=1113&expw=1000&q=HooverZanMiele&simid=608029895553386720&ck=7F7F9E12935EB6A8DF82A673BBA5017E&selectedindex=17&adlt=demote&shtp=GetUrl&shid=bb64400b-6c96-47ee-a43c-7cffd2b014f3&shtk=RWJheSBVSyBEZWNlbWJlciAyMDEz&shdk=Rm91bmQgb24gQmluZyBmcm9tIHd3dy5hdXRvbWF0aWN3YXNoZXIub3Jn&shhk=t9IlUomjmBdFDWYOd3Nu7ZwNsPgnzeIy6N4f%2BHE3zzU%3D&form=EX0023&shth=OSH.83sCMYZmS7b91P6kXJbgqQ
