Samsung Bearing Replacement Kit Information:
High Quality, High-Speed NACHI Bearings, and Seal Kit
The kit includes: 1 front bearing, 1 rear bearing, 1 front seal
Totally Hassle-Free Return, 5-Year Full Replacement Warranty.
Our bearings and seals are the best grade we can buy and are far superior to the ones originally installed in your washer by the manufacturer. The fastest washer out there spins at 1500 RPM and my bearings and seals are rated for more than 6 times that speed and load. Our smallest bearings are rated for 1740 LBS with the largest ones rated to over 4700 LBS. That's more weight than a Minivan.
As for our seals, we buy them from Taiwan, Germany, and Japan depending on the size and availability. (USA made seals are not available in these sizes) All our seals are high quality, fully sprung, double lip seals and we have been using these high-quality seals for over 7 years without any issues.
NACHI has been producing HIGH precision bearings since 1928.

@@thejungleexplorer great video! my Samsung washer is definitely making the screaming bearing noise during the spin cycle, but it is also extending the wash time and getting off balance and not spinning. Even with tiny kisses. Do you think that could also be related to the bearing or is it most likely the spider bracket or something else expensive??

Just completed this job, and this is a fantastic guide. I'll add one big thing - The drum is HEAVY. You WILL need someone else to help lift it to release the springs. I ran a steel pole across the top of the cabinet and tied it to the drum lift point, similar to the video. I had a friend help me lift it out of the cabinet and help put it back in. I do also agree with others who said take the extra step to remove the stator winding from the drum to keep it protected while removing the bearings from the drum. It is a super fast step. Last addition, the bearings are tight but will come out without adding any heat - just take your time. Putting the new bearings in the freezer for a couple hours helps, and use the old bearings to seat the new ones. This job will take a full day, especially if you take the time to clear out all the soap residue like I did, and quadruple check every hose connection.

Thanks for doing this. This was a very well edited video that helped me replace the bearings in my 2015 Samsung washing machine. One tip I would add is to get a bunch of sandwich bags and some sticky notes to keep track of the screws when you are dismantling the washer. It will save you some head scratching when you go to put the washer back together.

Give yourself some room to work (I moved the dryer, hamper and other items out). Other poster’s helped with putting bearings in the freezer-maybe it made a difference (?). Be sure to use the old bearings (on top of the new ones) and tap the outer race. Worked perfectly. Wish I could post the video of how quiet it is now. Thanks for being awesome!!!!!

Thanks to this video I saved my washer! The instructions on getting the bearing out and in was very helpful. I wasn't sure it was the bearing from all the videos that shared what it sounded like I said, nope not me. But that's because this washer has been sounding like a ufo taking off in the family room since we bought the house 3 years ago. Now it's so quiet. My conclusion is that the bearings were out then. When I cracked it open the inner ring and the bearings just fell out. I had to use a Dremel to cross hatch the outer ring enough that I could hammer it out. Took a LONG time but oh oh the sweet (no) sound of success! Thanks for saving me tons of money and giving me tons of badass cred!

I'm a mechanic so I thought I'd give it a try. The Samsung washer came with our new house. Turned out the previous owner forgot to mention the bearings were destroyed. The drum wouldn't even spin. 😏The bearing closest to the motor just fell to pieces on disassembly. To get the outer race out of the drum we had to weld a bead to the bearing shell and then drive it out. But the repair worked. $25 in parts saved me $800+ for a new unit. Thank you for the video!

Thanks so much for the great video. I watched it once and then took notes. My first Samsung crapped the bed after only 3 years. I was told that it would cost as much to repair it as a new one. Bought a new one in 2020. 2 years to the date of purchase the bearings went out. Sounded like an F-16 taking off in the house. Warranty I have did not cover the bearings. Repair guy suggested to buy new instead of fixing. Did some research, found a guy online that sells the bearings. Ran across your video while doing more research. Easy to follow. Ordered the bearings on Wednesday, they were delivered on Saturday, replaced the bearings today, (Sunday). Not the quickest repair job, (about 8 hours), but no injuries or left over parts, bolts or screws. Thanks again

Mine was a later model with a few differences and was easier eg: external motor so the housing was very simple. I had an old over sized socket set and found a 1 and 7/8 socket with an outside diameter of 63mm (so large) was ideal for tapping in the larger bearing and water seal. My machine is now fixed but it did take me 7-8 hours. Pro tip, make sure the bearings are tapped in all the way I could tell the larger inner one was not fully seated when I tried the pully wheel and tightening the nut will not pull it together, had to remove the water seal and tap the bearing in another 2-3 mm. This video inspired me to give it a go, cheers from Brisbane Australia.

Good instructional video - thanks. A couple of tips: remove the stator - just mark it first so you know how to align it when you replace it. If you cut or even tear the insulation on one of those wires, it will fail and the price of a new stator is crazy. Also, never use a hammer directly on a bearing - you can easily damage the bearing if you slip and hit the seal or the inner race. Use a block of wood against the bearing and tap the wood with a hammer. The wood is much more compliant and still does a great job of seating the bearing.

Great tutorial. This really helped me get my 10 year old washer back up and running. Now she purrs like a kitten. If I could just add my 2 cents: 1) @ 7:50 4 more screws must be removed to free up the wiring harness. 2)Remove the motor windings after removing the motor housing. This reduces the chance of damaging the windings and reduces the drum weight for easier handling. 3)Don’t forget to add loctite on the drum bolt, the stabilizer bolts (4) and the door screws (2). Removing the bearings was a challenge. After letting some lubricant soak in for a while and having no success with a hammer and a ⅜ extension bar I switched to a 3lb sledge hammer and viola! What a difference! Replacing the door boot retaining wire was a bitch. I ended up installing about ¾ of it, used 3 clamps to hold it in place and then a couple of flat screwdrivers to massage the rest in. I used a hockey puck to seat the rear bearing. Definitely one of the better videos for repairing a washer. Keep it up!

great video and tutorial for ripping apart the samsung FL washer! i have fixed the samsung dryer before and it is MUCH easier the washer is quite an ordeal. Ripped all the way down to the bearings to replace them only to find out the spider flange assembly was complete disintegrated and turned to mush. unbelievable to me that this METAL component can deteriorate that badly to point of axle being ripped completely free from the assembly. no longer makes sense to keep this washer so guess i'm getting a new one black friday!

Wow, unbelievable attention to detail, I salute you! I'm sure making this video doubled the time it took to do an already tough repair, I TOTALLY appreciate your effort. Okay then, I'm gonna give it a go. The appliance repair guy said it wasn't worth repairing, the same price as a new machine,,, okay, fair enough, but the washer and dryer are a matching set, its almost impossible to find the same kind- size-finish of washer now to match neatly next to the dryer. And so repair guy charges $115 for the 5 minute assessment, and I'm thinking the bearing is some massive $300 piece,,, and its almost laughable watching the video, and I'm thinking "what the hell, completely dismantling the machine, I'll never be able to get it back together, I'm gonna break so many of the tiny seals and clips, this part had better be a big deal" ,,, and then the jackpot is this tiny piece! So, gonna give it a go, if this works, I will be the most surprised guy in creation!

I would say all of the above. In my case, I felt the seal went in too easy and adding the silicone was just an extra layer of protection to help prevent leakage. BTY, this washer is still working fine to this day and has needed no further repairs of any kind.

Thank you very much for this excellent video. Very thorough and clear. My model was slightly different (2013 Samsung) so it didn't have all of the same connections, but easy enough to adjust. The biggest issue I had was getting the seal to stay seated. I could not get it to stay in that opening. Even after literally standing on it so it would go all the way down, it still popped back out. I eventually just left it half seated and I'm hoping the force of tightening that huge bolt pushed it back in. Maybe I had the seal upside down? If the profile of the cross section is a U, my original seal was an upside down U when I pried it out. I could tell exactly from your video, but it looked like your seal was seated like a regular U (opposite of mine). Any thoughts on which way this seal should be mounted and how to handle a seal that just wont stay in? I'm considering taking it back apart tomorrow (I really don't want to!) to see if it is properly seated now or if water leaked it. Thanks again!

In fact, the spin cycle may not make a complete circle - but go back and forth on half spins. The load may finish after several UB attempts (6 hours) but the clothes are still wet. Thanks for commenting. I did not show it in the video, but I tried using a piece of wood first. The force needed to drive the bearing in was too great. I beat a 2x4 to pieces and never budged the bearing. One commentator suggested putting the bearing in the freezer overnight. I think this is an excellent idea. It should cause the bearing to shrink, making it easier to install. Using the old bearings to hammer on is another option.

The spider given the age, you should have replaced it, the bearings, an insulation tool helps and less impact on the race. You did great with the silicone, but totally forgot the grease. The grease protects the seal from the shaft damaging it during installation and the rest of its service life. The bellow, you didn’t have to remove it. Anyways great job

Then you get a nice even seating of the bearing so as not to accidently smack the inner race while seating it. Nice video! Looks like I have my work cut out for me! I got the new bearing to go in by putting back in the drum and motor cover plate then screwed in the big bolt. The turning of the bolt pushed in the bearing inward. Do NOT do this with the new seal in place, it will damage the new seal. The idea is to get the new bearing in where they belong. Then again remove the motor cover plate and drum to get the new seal in.
