What Samsung can to is block the TV (aka show a black screen and not get past the Samsung logo) and never let it be used unless you have proof of purchase and fill out a online forum to get your TV unblocked.

From the stuff that filled in the test it seems that they basically just made their own TV and the TV is literally self destructing itself for no reason

The killswithc / shutdown /turn off cycle i'm noticing is happening almost everywhere and is a common problem to several brands. My interpretation is this....there's no hardware or software problem with the item.... The item (tv, alexa, smartphone etc) are all in theory working properly and are all good. The problem is another, and is not related to piracy. It is related to global spyoing that is interesting the superpowers blocks (Usa-China-Russia-Europe). What is the problem ? Take a device that as a microphone and/or microfone/webcam and/or internet connection .... that device can be used by an Agency, remotely, without permission and without the customer knows the problem, can be transformed in a spying tool.... The target person is not the customer but certain specific persons (Vip ? Politicians? Secret agents?). Once the target is known someone can activate remotely the microphone, and that device becomes an audio spying bug. If the device has a webcam it can become a remote controlled spying cam and so on.... So, once this problem has emerged, the Authorities forced the producers to do some actions, i suppose change their firmwares with approved firmwares and force the customers to go to tech repair centers. To force customers has been introduced an extreme measure that is the "killswitch"/""turnoff" device problem. The device will not work properly anymore, the customer goes to the tech repair center, they do a quick "repair" (probably charge the new approved firmware) and the fix is done. Customers should not pay nothing for this...but i suppose something must be paid....but the customer is anyway happy to have solved the problem with a little sum of money..... That's it folks.... This is the problem and this is the real reson.....
