You forgot to state (or maybe I did not hear it) that for a backup to a usb, the usb must be formatted for xfat of fat. If the usb is formatted for mac it won't work

Hi, just a clarification. I need to switch data from my old S10 to the new S24 using Smart Switch. I mounted a memory card on the old S10. How can I transfer the data stored on the memory card to the new S24 considering that there is no memory card slot on the S24? Does Smart Switch include this possibility?Thanks

I’ve seen transfers go fast either with wireless or wired.

WhatsApp is backed up by google, setting in WhatsApp to back up

Hard to explain but.. in custom mode.. can you just choose some pic-folders..games..contacts. .. Settings. Or do i have to move everything. Like 4000pics at the same time and all the games.

I am transferring data from an lg phone to a Samsung phone. Will this method still work? I will be using a new wireless provider. Do both phones need to be activated in order to transfer files? Thank you.

Good question! Both phones do not need to be active for the transfer. All you would need to do for both phones is, download the Samsung smart switch app, then make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are on and follow the prompts! I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

In samsung smart switch it gives you options on what you can transfer within certain limitations. If its just the storage on the phone, it will transfer all or nothing. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

I tried all these options and nothing is working. The old phone is a LG and I'm trying to transfer the info on it to a Samsung. Both phones have smartswitch on them. Can you think of why it's not working??

It could be the signal on either the phones. They emit a frequency, and either of those phones may not be reading it. Try this out Google Backup and Restore on Android kzread.info/dash/bejne/dGGa26p_ebbXhbA.html I made a video to help backup via Google Backup! Thanks for watching!

I tried this method, but smart switch is not able to be updated on my old phone.So using usb or wireless is not working. Further, I get the notification that my phone no longer supports an update of Smart Switch. How can I get around this?

Transfer data is somewhat complexed. What I’ve done is transfer all content from the SD CARD into an individual folder to the phone. Then put the new SD card in and transfer out the info from the phone to the SD CARD. That’s one way. 2nd way is using a computer. Thank you so much for watching!

It may be backed up on your cloud. Through Google one, but from experience, unfortunately not

If you can find the file in the port HD, you may need to send that to your email and in the cloud, download it to the phones files and allow to utilize that file. Hope that works.

Hello I have a lgks43 and I want to transfer to a Samsung a53 the only problem I have is what's up didn't complete all transfers plus my quick note from the lg didn't transfer can you please tell me how to do it all the other apps as been transferred

Some notes and passwords do not transfer, but when it has you sign in to your gmail most items including passwords will transfer! Thanks for watching!

@@LuckyTechLife I am in process of upgrading from VISIBLE's 4G LTE legacy network (Party Pay) to their new (basic 5G Nationwide) plan. I've just received new 'Samsung Galaxy A14 5G' phone PLUS a new SIM card (upgrading from a 'Moto G7 Power'). In my case, I think I have to insert the new SIM into the new phone so that VISIBLE will 'activate' it and allow the new Samsung to recognize the new network, yes? So, inserting the old SIM into my new phone (as you suggested to some others) would NOT work in my situation, correct? Also, if I try your '3rd method' via the USB ... doesn't it need a particular format to function (and WHAT is it?)? I have no computer to do this currently! Are either of my phones able to do the formatting automatically, or do I have to hunt someone down to borrow a computer (and, if so, is any Windows computer capable?)? I would probably would need a 256 GB USB drive (and adapter). If i bought at a local 'Best Buy,' do you think they would be able to format it properly while I was there?? Lastly, I am in same situation as a girl that asked you about how to transfer OLD SD card data (and files/formatting?) to a NEW SD card on the new phone (I still need to purchase). My problem ... 1.) I have no computer 2.) I have almost a 100 GB of data on my current SD card, but only 64 GB of internal memory storage on the new Samsung ... so even if I new how to stick all that 100 GB of SD data into a single folder, it would be too large to 'park' (unpack) onto the new phone by inserting original SD, unpack to Internal of new phone and then Insert the new 256 GB SD card, so that I could 'unpack' onto it? Seems like their should be an easier way to do this stuff ... or at least A way! 3.) Is there some way to put the original SD card's 100 GB of info into TWO separate folders (so each one would FIT on the new phones Internal storage temporarily ... and then repeat the process with the SD card swaps? 4.) Can you tell me how to properly split the data up on my original SD card? I use a file manager app called "File Manager +" on my old phone. 5.) And, if I want any chance of my old folders to be retained (I have many, many folders!), do I need to download this App from the Google Play Store onto my NEW phone FIRST? In other words, will this allow my 'folder hierarchy' (with all files, as they are currently on my phone) to be RETAINED?? I don't just want a 'loose dump of data' going to the new SD card without all the work of the Folders I made to contain it all originally. It would be an untenable amount of work, otherwise! Like Humpty Dumpty, yes? TIA for any help you can give me!

New phone keeps saying uodate switch to continue. I click update and then it says latest version installed. Its an endless loop. Like whose on first.

I got around this by connecting my phone to my t.v and some thing to put a bunch of usb deviced i connected a mouse also and was able to see what was going on my screen on the t.v

my old phone is losing connection with the new one, whenever I squeeze the option to send data pops up the option of I turn off the wifi and so I lose everything even when I reject. What's to be done? "your connection to the new device has been lost. Reopen the app again and try again" detail: I managed to move from my new to the old, but I can not move from the old to the new (which would be ideal to do, but because of this "internet fall" I can't)

@@LuckyTechLife I was trying both ways and i couldn't still get it, whenever it's loading, the data from the old cell phone, the connection of the two breaks, but when it's the new phone, it's quick to download and pass fudo properly, the first way it's in the video

I’ve seen where if you have a non Samsung phone trying to send to a Samsung phone, it will not work. Apps like that aren’t cross compatible. You may have to manually back up your voice recorders and send it to yourself as via email or an MP3 file. Thanks for watching!

Make sure that both phones are fully charged. and then try turning on/off both phones and try again. Hope this helps!
