Plastic doesn't smash, 60hz is the same as the iPhone 11 which is $900, 1080p screen technical ok. IPhone xr has a 720p screen for $800 camera punch hole isn't massive compared to apples massive bezel at the top. Has 8k recording, iPhone doesn't, has a pen built in it, apple doesn't, has a 64mp camera and a 30x space zoom, apple has non of that.

The sound from the S20 is from the physical optical image stabilization, it is how it works, it has to move around to work. The lack of sound might mean that the note doesn't has the OIS

The note 20 still makes a noise, you can definitely hear it when he shakes it. It's just quieter. So it probably still has OIS.

So Samsung made a phone with a 1080p display, plastic back, 60Hz screen. And charged $1000 for it. So now apple is much better value option. Especially considering the upcoming 12 with 120Hz. Tbh if you want a phone get an iPhone 12 pro when it comes out or a OnePlus. Don't get samsung. Especially outside US. That exynos sucks.

First of all, yeah this phone sucks. Secondly, I don't like apple cause I love to customise my phone. And about exynos, it's just as powerful as Snapdragon when it comes to CPU and I don't really care about GPU. My Samsung S9 with exynos is just as smooth as new. My S9 can do anything a high end snapdragon phone can, except for heavy gaming which I don't care about. I have a console for that.

@@n3gi_ s9 was a great phone. But not everyone wants to spend their time customising their phone and if so. iPhone is probably the best you can get right now. Best battery life, fastest phone, and one of if not the best camera. Also the 5+ years of software support is a very useful thing considering the phone costs a grand

@@n3gi_ S9 had a much smaller difference between exynos Vs Snapdragon. S10 got a bit worse and on the S20 it was a serious issue. Note 20 has it even worse because the exynos chip is the same but Snapdragon is updated. Edit: also Snapdragon has much better battery life

Note 20 Ultra is one of the best phones out there now, while the Note 20 is shit for it's price, worths about 500-600$, at max and even less with exynos.

Exynos makes any phone trash, it should cut at least a third from the original price. It's not even on par with sd855+ let alone 865+. Samsung has quite the nerve to try and shove this down our throat.

Last time samsung made plastic flagships, they provided unique features( smart scroll, pop up video, smart stay,etc) at the time like in the s4, s3, etc. Since then their phones became boring as they started removing those gimmicky features. Now their $1000 plastic note 20 ain't a flagship anymore. It's more like note 20 and note 20 lite! Their software support for those $1000 phones ain't apple quality either. Since they are providing a stripped down version of flagships they aren't worth the money anymore!!

Austin, having huge unknown battery drain and lag in games because of the horrible GPU on the Exynos version is indeed a deal breaker.

the reason there is a Note and Note ultra is that they can have a phone costing 1300 without the negative press of starting at 1300. note is specifically designed to make people think why not just put more money and buy the bigger one.

And because of that flat screen on the "vanilla" note20, it looks like a mid range phone from the front. I mean I showed a picture of the A51, A71, S10 Lite, Note10 Lite and Note20 to a not so techie person and the couldn't tell the difference between them, sure the mid rangers could look a bit similar on the front but the fact that a flagship 1000 dollar phone looks like a 400 dollar mid range is a bit of a sad story imo.

Depends on how you use the note 20. For me it's just a tool. The back is polycarbonate which I'd sooner have. The screen is flat which I prefer, but would have liked 90hz and a little smaller. Wireless charging means it can be used as a bedside clock and always on display shows notifications without disturbing anyone. Specs otherwise fine. Just pre ordered one from Samsung, £250 trade in on old phone, so £599 and free Galaxy buds, no contract.

Thank you. Although I had already decided against buying Note 20, I was just surprised that absolutely non of the KZreadrs were talking about it. MKBHD released a video even before the official launch but still his reaction to seemed kind of muted. A 60 Hz screen in 2020 at 1000 dollar is I think nothing short of unacceptable, even for someone who hasn't ever used a higher refresh rate screen.

@@bex7465 No I didn't. And so didn't many people. And thanks to that we got the S20 FE. What the Note 20 should have been, just with removed S-pen. And I did buy that. And it went on to be the best deal of the year, which could easily have been the Note 20. The only way to discourage big brands from customers ripping customers money off, is to vote with your wallets. Voices do not do anything. The only for person here is you for not knowing that.

The exynos version of the note 20 series feels like a over priced mid-ranger in a premium body and specs. Even lesser so for the note 20. Rather pick up a note 10 lite for 550$ over the note 20 for 1000$. Especially during these times.

5:10 simple answer. The new Exynos chip on the Note 20 Ultra variant, CANNOT do 120/1440. The Snapdragon 865+ chip , which is also a Note 20 Ultra variant is fully capable. This is to offset any concerns to the user base (especially since Exynos has proven to be inferior). Also important to note, the new Galaxy Tab S7 and i forgot the other tablet, but they can do 120/1440 because they only have the 865+ chip variant for sale, in ALL markets worldwide.

Exynos can't do 120hz on qhd so they did the same to the capable snapdragon variant to make the gap smaller.

The 20 lineup has been a gigantic failure so far. The 10 has better video, better audio, better image processing, better stabilization, and it's pretty much better in all selling points of these phones while costing half the price by now. WIth the stupid refresh rate limitation on 1440p, unless you actually NEED a periscope you'll be way better with a Note 10+. The very fact that Samsung is charging more than a thousand bucks for the Exynos version of a plastic phone outside the US is criminal. People said Apple was expensive, but Apple guarantees 5 years of updates and the very best materials in the business to their top of the line. Samsung re invented what "overpriced" means this generation.

kaiwal panchal even if they didn’t, history is the greatest supporter here. And Apple wins historic updates, hands down. Samsung is one of the better updaters, but still they aren’t as good.

I might have liked the regular Note 20 since it has the flat screen if it only had one of these issues, but the lack of higher res screen, and plastic back, and no expandable storage, and $1000 made me order the Ultra while there were extra trade-in cash and accessories credits available on the unlocked model.

There better be an update letting us to high refresh rate and resolution. So we can use up our battery with ease like we want too

To fix camera bumps make the phone thicker with a bigger battery

You also didn't mention or re-mention during the ending comparison that Note20U has expandable storage while Note20 doesn't.

Camera bump should just be it's own separate module you attach with magnetic pins. Some of us don't want any camera. Still waiting for that modular phone where I can pick my parts.
