You neglected to disconnect the tiny ribbon connector from the top of the screen just before you took it out. Essential step.

Check the tiny ribbon connector on the back of the LCD - that's where the touchscreen connects into

Replace the LCD panel - I'd also look at cleaning up the circuit board underneath the metal shield (that can also be removed)

Hi, perhaps the optical sensor is faulty or being covered - the optical light sensor detects when the phone is to your face and cuts off the screen output so you don't light up like a christmas tree at night in dark places. The proper technical name for it is a proximity sensor. It is connected using the same ribbon as the ear-piece speaker - perhaps you can test the phone to see if the ear-piece speaker is working. If not then i would suggest it's that at fault. We have 1 in stock at the moment

Hi I follow this usefull vídeo and everthing went fine until i put the baterie casing and the screen is all white. When pull off again the baterie casing and assembling the baterie in the contacts switch on and all apppears Samsung logo model etc.. Please can you help me with this. Best regards

I followed your video, however when i put the phone back together (before fitting the screws), i can feel the phone vibrate but nothing caomes on screen. What i also did was connect the screen layed side by side and the screen came on, just not wehen i casing. any ideas what could be wrong or shall i just send the phone to you to look at

Ok, the blue tool is not 100% required, it just reduces any scratch damage to your phones casing, you could just use a flat blade screw driver?

That might be a faulty screen (the new part could be faulty) - you might also want to check you've ordered the correct part.

This tool (the e-swoosh, blue plastic tool) cannot be bought in my country (Hungary - mid Eu)... If u know where I could buy one (for a reasonable price), tell me. But I doubt, so this is why I ask If I could replace my LCD without e-swoosh
