I’ve wanted a flip phone for a while and I just had a breakdown last night so I’ve been looking for “dumb” phones with smart features in hopes of getting my life back together. I was in a very similar spot! phones rob life! I still need discipline, but every time I use it reminds me of my decision to swap to a easier phone. where do you live, I know buying these phones can be a little hard sometime! thanks for your comment also!

I have the same problem. I am at work right now and cannot keep my eyes off my phone. I was looking at the Cat 22 for a while and searching for reviews and yours is the best so far. Here in Quebec, Canada it's 130$.

I am in the same position as the rest of the world ..I'm putting my necessary apps on this , then will use it as a WiFi hotspot on my fire tablet when I fancy a bit of web browsing ...but it will definitely stop me just picking up my smartphone and losing hours on end ...it's the future for sure ...

I'm in the same spot: Want to spend less time on my phone, but also cognizant of the fact that completely removing every single "smart" function off the bat would hinder actual important aspects of my life. Available on Amazon for less than $70 U.S. My battery life using it primarily as a phone and reading emails is several days. Lots of screen time lessens probably that but as I do not use it that way I cannot say how much.

Reviewers mentioned that the phone comes with a pending update. And on trying to update after a long download, it ends up getting stuck with error. And this update-error cycle goes on, making the phone completely unusable. Kindly inform if such update issue happened with you too. Is it in fact worth all this trouble?

I use blue tooth! but the phone should come with a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can plug wired headphones in! I use Spotify also! works really well! not speedy, and it easiest if you just click shuffle and go! but give it a shot! I love the phone! totally get one!

Available on Amazon for less than $70 U.S. My battery life using it primarily as a phone and reading emails is several days. Lots of screen time lessens probably that but as I do not use it that way I cannot say how much.

Thank you for being the only one to mention fb messenger! Thats the only thing that was stopping me from getting a flip phone as hardly anyone txts and most people i know hate whats app 🙂

Reviewers mentioned that the phone comes with a pending update. And on trying to update after a long download, it ends up getting stuck with error. And this update-error cycle goes on, making the phone completely unusable. Kindly inform if such update issue happened with you too. Is it in fact worth all this trouble?
Love the video. Love the Kanye and Kim wallpaper. Super close to pulling the trigger on a dumbphone myself. They lowkey scammed you charging that much. Just looked it up and its on sale for $85 CAD. Disappointing hearing about the battery life though you'd really expect it to last longer.

I use blue tooth! but the phone should come with a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can plug wired headphones in! I use Spotify also! works really well! not speedy, and it easiest if you just click shuffle and go! but give it a shot! I love the phone! totally get one!

how’s the battery life when using Spotify hooked up to a Bluetooth speaker or headphones? I usually listen to it all day at work hooked up to a speaker so if I can still do that I’m making the switch. Mindlessly scrolling is making me sick. I can't just put on app timer (just turn them off since it's an addiction) I've never been good at methodically going about things, slowly weening off time etc...I hope this helps not plopping down and losing myself for hours. Getting my CatS22 running today!

I havent tried these apps, because we dont use them In New Zealand but the phone works like a normal smart phone, they will all work, just not sure you will have the same experience as an iPhone. but that should be obvious

Exactly this. It's a convenient distraction used to 'occupy' the mind from the more serious distractions around them. It's such a relief to see the younger generation waking up to the fact these devices are actually doing more harm than good. it is a smart phone! so YES! It is obviously a very small screen, but every app is useable! just more difficult to use! I have used the electric scooter hire app, and it works well! I dont use uber so cant give you an answer on that
