It already could with the 5. Fold flat. That alone makes a big difference. I went from the 4 to the 6 and the screen is bigger and it feels soooo much better of a phone. Go touch one in best buy. If you had a 5 I'd say no but definitely yes for a 4

So true, I love my fold 4 and the only thing that is making me upgrade is the horrible camera and battery life, I was really hoping for some good updates with the 6 but unfortunately I think I'll have to leave the fold family for a while until those improve 😢

Fold 4 user here, I'm used to the fold 4 as it is. I don't think this is worth the upgrade to the fold 6. Might wait for the fold 7 or go xiaomi/oneplus

I got a 4 too but the inside screen glew up out of nowhere so samsung offered me 1k for trade and 741$ total price for unlocked z fold 6 so I did it because I love my 4 but I have been using only the outer screen for like 1 month and im going crazy

@@albertorenta the warranty is 2 years! ive repaired mine for free 1 year ago when hingle wouldnt open fully. Second repair was last month when my screen had a black dot. they even gave me a new battery so i guess i can use mine for another year!

No new camera & the still same battery? No new Fold for me. Period. I really like the Black Carbon Design but only a good Design and a lighter phone does not justify a whole upgrade purchase for me. Staying with my Fold 4 I guess.

This is exactly why I'm turning my Z Fold 5 in for the S24U. I love it for the most part, but the battery life for me have been up and down.

Z fold 6 looks beautiful! Samsung is my favorite company!

@jd2161 ya man. I really like mine. It has a nice feel to it. I bought a clear rubbery plastic case that looks good, feels good and protects my fold. I find it's quicker then my Fold 4. The screen has less of a crease in it. As well, I felt like 2 years is a good time to upgrade, and the condition of the fold 4 was good enough to trade in for $1000

Went to the electronics store today. I had second thoughts. It's actually better than my Fold 4. For some reason, my Fold 4 feels outdated. This version is thinner, lighter, and has a better grip. It also closes completely when folded, and there's rubber that prevents dust or any foreign material from slipping into the inner screen. The camera and battery are the same, but since they're using the latest Gen 3 (AI-marketed) chipset, I think it will be more battery-efficient, at least compared to the Fold 4. And the AI chipset may have something up its sleeve to improve image processing and upscaling. The only downside is that this is a very expensive phone. It's only worth it if you take advantage of trade-in and pre-order offers and vouchers. Pre-ordered mine today.

Thank you for uploading this video. I've just preordered the 6, upgrading from the 4. All other videos focus on the comparison between the 5 so this was really useful.

May I ask you what aspects of the Fold 6 are making you upgrade? I have a green fold 4 and I’m still happy with it. It’s perfect. No scratches. Fast enough. I realize that there will be screen crease improvement, but I would have to spend at least $1200 on the new one after trading this one in.

After 1,5+ year my battery isnt that good anymore and on fold6 is even bigger so it will be very noticable, it has wider outer screen which is important to me because I have big hands, better cooling which may sound not as a deal breaker but in the summer when chilling in the sun my fold4 many times turned off, fold 6 is much flatter and its more comfortable to hold and in the pocket. And very important thing is that I am scared to use any fold device when warranty is expired because well it is a foldable, the inner screen can crack one day and the repair will be more expensive than it is worth...

Not worth the upgrade.

I got $1000 CAD trade in from the Fold 2 to the Fold 5 last year. This phone will be great for those coming from the 2/3. Definitely wait if you have the 4/5.

I have the fold4 and like it a lot better than the fold3, which I've had issues with. Now, looking at the fold6... the main thing that's holding me back from upgrading is the camera is still the same! So, since my fold4 is paid off, i may decide to wait another 6 months, then decide. Especially as more reviews of fold4 vs. fold6 will come about by then from everyday users like us viewers. Good job on the video comparing the 3 phones, and i was almost at the gate ready to upgrade, then hearing that the camera is still the same was the deal killer for me.... for now.

I've got the fold 4, I'm waiting for the one plus open 2. Think the fold 6 upgrade is still incremental and not serious about the competition and taking its customers for granted by charging even more. Still have the same camera and battery. Was hoping the front screen be wider, a built in s pen, larger battery, ultra cameras. Even the competition has a charger in the box and phone case. 😅

The 3 to the 4 was a huge upgrade for me. Much more efficient and the wider outer display is so much nicer to use day to day.

So no upgrades at all, just design, I'll keep my fold 4 another year it still looks and running like new (fold 4 also has all ai features, the same cameras, and the processor still fast)

Not worth it. The Fold 4 depreciates a quarter of its original price if traded in, but it has the same camera and, with the current One UI 6.10 with AI, there is nothing significant enough to warrant the upgrade. I like the aspect ratio of the Fold 4 better. Now it looks too squarish.

It sounds kind of shallow but I can't get over how nice the device looks now, so the major reason for me would be the aesthetic shift. Why did you guys decide to upgrade from the 5?

@@Bitplex I personally didn’t like the new aesthetics either but the price was too good to pass up to upgrade for me. Plus the fact that the fold 5 has far less updates than the 6 will get. I also scratched the outer screen on mine so I want to reset the clock 😂

Been eyeing the folds for years now & finally decided to try it out. Love the boxy design from S24 series. That carbon Fiber black is wicked! Coming from S22U & 15PM so curious to see how it stacks against those & if its versatility makes it stand out on top.

Still have my z fold 4 does most of the z fold 6, i liked the better hinge,weight and screen ratio are good for z fold 6 but not worth the upgrade really need them to get a bigger battery and ultra series cameras

The real upgrade was the Fold4 to the Fold5. You had better battery life as well as a better hinge. The Fold6 isn't an upgrade imo since it's still has the same hardware as previous models.

As good as it looks no built in spen, no periscope zoom lens and not a wider outside screen is a no go

There are many other features to consider: a lighter build, larger screen, dust resistance, 2600 nits for both front and main screens compared to 1500/1300 nits for the Fold 4's cover/main screens, LTPO technology with a 1 to 120 Hz range for both front and main screens rather than just the main as in the Fold 4, and a better CPU. Additionally, there is a $1200 trade-in offer plus a substantial rebate for pre-orders. Coming from the fold 3 this will be a huge jump .

here in EU the deals are not that good than in US. I'd only get 450€ for 6months old S23 ultra in mint condition. Paying another 1550€ for a fold 6 is too much. But I do want one. Had fold 3, which unfortunately died (WiFi stopped working due to bad flex cables and physically damaged inner screen, which was my mistake)

I have the fold 4 1TB, got it almost mint for 500$. I wanted to upgrade but there is 2 issues: 1 the camera is the same. And the camera on this phone is just ok not great. The case available for the phone are either super bulky and make trhe phone appearance change into something else or you can get a Samsung case but the phone will not last. Samsung cases just don't protect the entire body of the phone. The 6 on the other side is a beauty very thin, screen is nice shape is better. But i cant spend twice the value of my phone just for that.

Apparently, the external display of the Fold 6 has the same aspect ratio as that of the older Xperia (V), can anyone confirm? If so, it would be difficult and hypocritical to continue to criticize the Fold 6's outer display, when for years the Xperia has been praised for that 🤷🏽‍♂️ Ps: on the other hand I can't understand how Samsung could add 300mAh more on the Flip 6 and not even 1 mAh on the Fold 6 🤔

Samsung would have major problems selling if they were in the US. I would easily go to those brands mentioned. The only thing stopping me is the lack of customer support if something was to happen to the fold.

I just got a 4. I had a 3 and was thinking of maybe upgrading but I dropped my phone real bad at work and filed a claim and they sent me a new 4 instead of 3 so I'm good for now again.

I have the Fold 3 and this still didn't sell me.

I have an s21 ultra. Was curious to see this years fold. Kind of expected a tad more.

I like Samsung's methodical approach to upgrading these fold phones. It reminds me of the way Toyota would slowly tweak things to get better performance and keep reliability as the best in the industry. It just means you should skip an upgrade. I will be going from the Fold 4 to the 6, and I am very excited, as the Fold 4 is the best phone I've ever had.

I still have my fold4 bought almost on the launch day, and sadly, because Samsung has refused to upgrade the fold series will be switching to the s25 ultra when it comes out early next year

The small outer display isnt the problem at all. I like being able to use it one handed. Also aspect ratio of the inner screen is better that way.

Going from 3-4 was huge. Skipped the 5. Love the design on the 6 but for 800 dollars (after trade in) plus 165 for tax... Its not enough.

Might be time to switch to Google or onePlus to see what they're doing. There's no difference in these new models from the old. Being a few grams lighter or unnoticeably thinner is not worth it. I want a bigger screen, better camera, better battery. Do something different.

I have the 4, and with taxes and discounts, it came out to $892 bucks. I pulled the trigger because I'll get a new Fold with a new battery and warranty. Also, the brightness on the screens being higher appeals to me. The carbon fiber look appears slick. The new processor should allow for better battery life. Might as well take the $1000 trade in credit

I said the exact same thing until... I went to a best buy and picked one up yesterday.... I have a fold 4 and there is a significant change in weight and it looks soo much better. The front screen is actually easier to use now. I shouldn't have gone to see one... now I think I'm going to upgrade 😅😂...

Why do people bum camera's on a phone, I repeat, its a phone and a folding phone at that, if you want a decent camera buy a dslr camera, this is a fantastic phone and the camera's are adequate for daily use and taking pictures, get a grip people, but I guess its all about the Insta piccies, sad, very very sad!

It looks nice, but it needed to be bigger and better cameras from my opinion. Now that being said, if Samsung or my phone provider gives me a good deal, maybe I'll get it. Thats how I got my current phone. I traded in my Note 9 (for 1000 USD) for the Fold 4.

The hinge on the inside looks exactly the same as the Fold 5. Definitely not worth trading in my Fold 5 and pay an extra $1700 CAD, even after the Fold 5 trade in ($1000 CAD). I really like the Fold 5 cover screen as it is.
