Just ordered my z fold 5 for $654 with all promotions.

When you put the case on, the Fold 5 really got my attention.

Just upgraded my fold 4 and pre-ordered my fold 5, along with the watch and tablet. Never thought i would switch from apple but the Samsung ecosystem is superb and a lot less security issues too.

I had samsung galaxy note 2, 4, s10, s20, s22 ultra, and fold 4, recently I decided to give apple a chance and my new iphone 14 pro max feels much more ergonomic and the os is way smoother, I don't know why i hated apple for so many years, it's super elegant, I don't know how a smaller battery on this iphone performs better than my old s22 ultra which has a much higher capacity 🤔

​@@Schervinyeah the s22 ultra had very poor battery optimization. My now fold 5 with smaller battery lasts longer than the s22 ultra. But no apple ios is horrible compared to android or one ui. Ergonomically the fold 5 is way superior than any normal phone. The bulkyness makes it stick in you pocket and never slide out and its very comfy to hold for phonecalls and very nice unfolded i tablet mode for 2 handed typing and media consumption. I thought i would be bothered by the crease but its totally fine.

I wonder why nobody is talking about how good the full-screen looks without the punch hole camera... More of this please.... Hate punch holes

Exactly, when Samsung first introduced it in Z Fold 3 I was excited for that alone but most tech youtubers really were complaining about the quality, like who cares that's what the cover selfie cam is for.

Only in dark mode. That shit hurts when first setting up the device and it's need to use light mode instead of asking if we want dark mode turned on at the beginning of the setup.

I have the z fold 4 and i am never going back to a regulsr phone again. Having a bigger screen is awesome.

This is the review that convinced me to make the upgrade to the fold 5. Great review!

Man, I wish they made this case for the fold 4, this makes the spen case for the fold 4 look like it came out in 2008.

Damn. When it was announced, the pre-order image looked like it it would fold like the pixel. I liked the bigger front screen for one handed fast paced use. I was wrong. And have withdrawn my pre-order. My fold 3 is still going strong.

Good job, Tim. It is nice to hear some postive things about the 5. I have the fold 4 and look foward to receiving my 5 even if it has some minor upgrades. I would still pick this phone over Google Pixel Fold.I Iooked at the Google Pixe foldl several times in person to compare and felt my 4 was better. The front screen on the pixel fold was better. However, why buy a fold if you are going to use the front screen 80 percent of the time.

exactly. yes the fold would be nice even just a little wider. so the front was a little easier to type on or make it so you can use the spen on the front. thinking of making the fold 5 my first fold. i don't like the pixel fold to short and to wide

overall it looks better without the gap... but if dirt were to be stuck then its gonna damage the screen/screen protector easier...

When you tell which one was the zfold 5 , was easy to know because the new version got that different wallpaper. The zfold 4 bring that old wallpaper from factory

You said you can use the S-Pen on both the internal and external display. I've heard that Samsung did not add a digitizer to the external display, so S-Pen use is limited to the inside display only. Can you verify?

I remember watching your videos back in the day trying to root my Galaxy Epic 4g lol

When transferring everything over from the old phone that includes all of your apps like ticket master because i am concerned about losing the two tickets I have purchased if the app doesn't get transfer over to the new phone.

Serious question though does the pen do damage to the screen over time! Almost like when you use a finger nail?

I hope theyll release a new case for z fold 4 with slim spen

Correct it does not work, my mistake!

Samsung needs to tad bit widen the front screen closer to the S23 and include integrated S Pen, slim down the thickness further to compensate the wider front screen. And then introduce the Z Fold Mega version, which scales up the regular Z fold.

Honestly, the phone is unwieldy unfolded as it is, I don't want it to get wider. A wider phone will have the centre of gravity further away from your palm, which makes it easier to drop and heavier to hold one-handed. If you don't believe me, try turning your Fold in landscape and use it like that. I don't find it great at all. Just my opinion.

I doubt if they’ll ever do that. I think they want to keep the customer bass separate for the fold and the ultra. I think that’s why they stopped making the note the ultra essentially became the note

Can u pls try prop up the phone with the spen at the back like a tripod stand supporting it on the groove meant as its housing and share if it can also work like a stand 😊

Why? If you want the S23 Ultra, buy the s23 ultra. A phone that big would be impossible to use one handed

Oh, yeah! Whoo! I already saw a video about this phone and it was amazing. This video is awesome too. A little disappointed that they didn’t merge the S-pen in it but I’m glad they still support it. I also like how it doesn’t have a gap in between anymore.

Yes there is and usually that's the culprit that creates lines and bubbles after about a year or so! DOn't remove it yourself for risk of voiding your warranty! Samsung can easily replace it for you, takes about an hour at the repair center!

FYI all those labs gestures, features and flex mode and all that are features we've had since Fold 3 so not new.

Really good reviews. The SPen works on both displays? They said very little about the SPen features. Thanks.

Im so happy with my Fold 5. I had the Flip 3 and was thinking of getting the Flip 5 but i bought the Fold 5 so i have 2 different phones. And a fun fact, i had my Fold 5 1st of August. Dont know if it was a mistake but im very happy 🥰

So, does the s-pen continue to have an internal battery which allows it to connect with the phone? Because for my S22 Ultra it goes into its housing bay where it gets charged.

No. This one and previous S pens for the Fold, aside from the S Pen Pro, do not. So, when he makes it seem as if this S pen supports Air Actions, he's misleading, ignorant, or both.

Until they add an s pen slot in the device, I won't be getting one. I love my S23 ultra with the s pen. I don't know why they wouldn't just add a slot into the damn phone

By now they should have figured a way to put the pen inside the phone.

Were you able to transfer 100% of all your data from previous fold ?

This new fold 5 doesn't really impress as the prior generations used to. Thus i have been thinking and eventually concluded that it'd both relatively lucrative and consumer orientated if next year samsung released a series of various design foldables. The fold 6 mini with certain references to latest oppo mini foldable in terms of screen size for those who are willing to reconcile the foldability with compactness. The usual fold 6 with possible improvements in comparison to fold 5 but still similar for fans of this classic design. And the most advanced and innovative ultra version with all conceivable stuff including much bigger screen. This would definitely satisfy all users and create unique diversity of options from one company.
