I ordered the Flip 6. I have owned the Flip 3, 4 & 5. Every one had the same issue. At about 8 months the factory screen protector peels away from the main screen at the seam/hinge. Every one! Each time Samsung replaced the screen or protector under warranty. Every year I trade in my current model for the new one. It used to be about $100 and included free accessories. Now, it's about $400. I still ordered the Flip 6. New camera, battery, AI and software. We'll see if the main screen can last 1 year? I'm just addicted to the form factor. It is so comfortable to fold it up and slip it into my pocket!

same here with my flip3 the problem with screen protector is that it always detaches at the crease part after 8months to a year. I'm wondering if the screen protector should be two separate parts, the top half and the bottom half have their own separate scree and leave the crease bare. I'm tempted to buy a screen protector and cut it in half to do just what I described

I'm at 11 months on my Flip 5 with no screen issue. I use it as designed and don't need to open it all that much, but I'm not a huge phone user either and just need to carry one. If you have a Flip but always open it maybe a foldable isn't best for your use case?

I had the screen protector issue too but no Samsung dealer anywhere near me. So the prospect of replacing the protector was 2 weeks to ship it across country and back. That was a no go. Wound up buying a 3 pack off Amazon for $12 and they seemed to last about same.

It's actually not a big deal. It peeled off my Flip4 after about 7/8 months and it has not been a problem at all. The glass is so strong that I have no scratches whatsoever. I even dropped it a couple times. Again, no issues. Thus, the screen protector is pretty much worthless. I just upgraded to the Flip6 and looking forward to getting it. Should be any day now.

They need to get purple back

Couldn’t agree more!!! It’s dumb but I think they went with these colors to sort of match the Olympics logo - black and white are Samsung exclusives, blue, green, yellow, and silver. Pink (light red) is on the fold. Maybe they’ll release more colors for a FE?

The bump to 12 GB of RAM as standard and guaranteed 7 years of software support has me tempted to switch from my iPhone 14 Pro. I'm not in a hurry to change, though, so maybe around the holidays if there's a good enough deal.

The Flip and Fold only gets six OS updates and an extra year of security updates. I agree that 12GB is needed on Samsung devices, and I argue that 16GB would be better future-proofing, especially on the Fold, which isn't an option.

I'm still rocking the flip4, not enough to sway me yet! This phone is surprisingly more durable than I thought

I got my Flip 5 last year and still love it! I do love the colors and the new design of the Flip 6 tho but i'll waited until the flip 7

I have a Galaxy Z Flip 5 I have been using it for my daily use, and I got no issues with battery life and more. And I have to say that Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is a major upgrade for me because I love it so much especially I'm not upgrading to Z Flip 6 because it's the same baloney but different specs. So I don't even care about upgrading and the specs that they have inside the phone. I think the Z Flip 5 is number one.

I upgrade every other cycle. I have the Flip4 and just ordered the Flip6. But I agree with you, if you have the 5 there's little reason to upgrade to the 6 unless you want the seriously upgraded camera. But you might as well wait for the 7 at this time next year. It should be a much more worthy upgrade from the 5.

I like my flip 5 it has stood up to my labouring job and fits in my buttoned chest pocket so no stress of losing it. The only thing I hate is the slight bending in the frame over time it doesn't straighten out flush anymore.

I still have my flip 4 and don't have any issues with it. Honestly have no reason to upgrade to this...but I will. lol

Looks promising!! I've had my zflip5 since launch and it's still working amazing. The first folding display I've tried but honestly it's still good as new which has absolutely shocked me. Will probably be trading in when available :)

Z fold 6 in Belgium 2000€ = nuts. That is more then a good 65 inch oled tv lol.

Hmm trade in offer actually disappointing if it would have been like a 100 dollars after trade in a z flip 5 i would have totally upgraded but paying 400 still after trade in isn't enough improvements to make me upgrade. Samsungs trade ins pre-order deal definitely gotten a fair amount worse.

FINALLY been waiting to upgrade for when the 6 came out. Verizon cobtacted over 10 times to update and tried to sell me from my 3 to 5. I knew if i upped to 5 the 6 would come out in a few months. 🤩

I have the 5. Tbh not worthy for an upgrade only essentially better wider camera and better battery by a bit and stronger material uses. Wait till flip 7!!

I've always wanted a Flip because of the portable form factor, but the weak cameras put me off. The upgraded cameras and battery in the Flip 6 address that, so I've just pre ordered. There's 10% off if you order via the Samsung Shop app, another 5% off if you pre registered interest before launch and I got £220 trade in on my 3.5 year old Galaxy S20, so a 512GB Flip 6 cost just under £800, which is not bad. Looking forward to delivery on the 19th!!

I'm interested in Flip series for the fact that I can use the rear camera for selfies. How does the rear cam of Flip5 and Flip6 compare to front cam of s24 Ultra? Are they both much better than front cams? Plus, does the front screen have good brightness for selfies?

I have the flip 5, was so disappointed with the camera. I knew it wasn't great but was still shocked at how bad. I'm glad the camera has gotten the much needed upgrade!!

@@God-Almighty I do use the phone camera, if the subject moves even an inch I end up with less than great quality pictures. It feels like a major downgrade from my previous pixel 5

I hope these are more reliable, my flip 5 screen failed twice in two months, and both times started from the center, where the hinge is.

I stil have an S20, because the camera on this device is just so good in 'night mode', allowing for some spectacular shots during low light settings such as atmospheric restaurants or even catching the northern lights. How does the cameras on this device compare?

7 years of software updates, pray that you don't get creases on the display in those 7 years.

However, I was wondering why you didn't address the ability (or lack thereof) to send messages by typing directly from the external display. This feature seems essential for many users, especially given the price and expectations around this phone. Can you give us more information about this? Thanks again for your excellent work!

My favorite iPhone of all time is the original iPhone SE and the flip 6 Silver shadow gives me that amazing darker silver metal look with the black glass. I love it. I have a Z Fold 3 and I'm so tempted to switch. I like smaller phones but scared I'll regret it.

I wonder if they fixed the screen issue. We had to sent in our Flip 5 twice due to a greenish line right at the folding area and than suddenly no touch responding screen.

If this phone looked as nice as the Razr+ 2024 with that outer screen, it would change the whole game!

Not enough people are talking about the flat Matt sides. I think it looks so good compared to the shiny slightly rounded ones on my flip 5

I have the Flip5 512gb and won't go back to a non-folding phone. My only gripes are the battery life and so-so camera. Waiting to see comprehensive camera tests and long term battery life. Right now, the Flip5 isn't a big enough upgrade but we shall see.

Flip 6 is such a good not only youre getting 12 gb ram and 7 years guaranteed software updates this is a steal right here

Had the flip 4 and i must say it was my favorite phone ever. I upgraded to a s23 ultra and though i love it. The flip is just perfect. The screen, the size just everything. I got the ultra because i wanted the pen and Dex. I can do without the pen just wish they put dex in the flip

Definitely upgrading! I LOVED my flip 5, gonna love the Flip 6 even more!

Definitely a worthy upgrade from my Flip4. 3 features really stand out: 1. The AI language translator for when I travel to Europe and S. America. 2. The camera. The camera on the Flip4 is disappointing so this is a very welcoming update. The 3rd feature I am looking forward to is the larger outer screen.

Screen durability is my biggest concern, after having problems with the Flip 3's screen protector/ screen

I'm currently sporting the iPhone 13 mini, and I've always gravitated towards smaller screens and, whilst I probably use 2 hands on my phone often enough, I love that I've got the option to be able to do whatever it is I need with my phone one-handed. Go for it. I love my flip 5. A friend switched from his mini and loves it too. Biggest issues were the meh battery and photo lens and the 6's upgrades should fix those.

is it worth upgrading from S21 Ultra? My phone is actually running great. No broken screen or whatever, but I've been thinking about a smaller phone for a while and the flip is on top of my list, I am however afraid of the screen, I have seen that after a while it may start crack.

I still had my Galaxy Z Flip 3, so yeah, it was a good upgrade for me to go with the 6. However, even with the three I found a work around, so I could use all of my apps on the smaller cover screen. It's called sam sprung overlay service. It pretty much does the same thing that good luck does, but it came out before. Good luck. And it's not really affiliated with Samsung. It's kind of a after market app, but it does work. So I'm not going to complain. I'm still using it on my 6. As we speak, so I'm still going to check out the good lock to see if there's that much difference but. It is what it is. Something else I can tough out all the way. What is that bottom port on the right hand side of the Z Flip serious? On my section has one, it looks like an sd card slot?

I had a flip 4 for a 1.5 years. I was iPhone user for years prior. My flip had zero issues for the 1st year. Last week the top screen of the phone stopped working and the phone wouldn’t close. The screen was damaged even more when I closed it without force. Due to working from home and needing a phone to work, I switched back to Apple with iPhone Pro Max last week. I enjoyed my flip. Just wanted share my experience with the Flip 4.

I've just returned the S24 because that matt finish made it ridiculously slippery in my hands. I've always had glossy phones and, after he S24 experience, I'll stick to that going forward. Will have to try the Flip 6, which I'm interesting of getting, to see how it handles but I'm not optimistic because of that matt finish!

Ive been living through samsung upgrades since the Note4. Now im using the Flip5 and waiting for my 6. You pick your poison and go for the ride. I dig the Flip's size and was waiting for this years upgrade. The complaints about the 6 being the same are wrong and stupid.

Im starting to need a new phone, and with the deals available for the Flip 6, I am seriously considering it. It's crazy how far these types of phones have advanced since they were first released

I had a the flip 4 as of last week. The top portion of the screen stopped working and I was unable to close my phone. The phone closed eventually but black spots appeared on the screen. I ended up switching back to iPhone.

@@djangomarine6658 I know I"m not typical, but just this year I upgraded from iPhone x to the 15. I'd had the X for probably five years. That's how long i expect a phone to last, at least. I'll be watching these phones.

Does this Flip support Dex?? That, along with the camera, has been a deal breaker for me not to swift to flip from S series

Just got a iPhone 15 pro but look at both the Flip 6 and fold 6 trying to see which one I want

The crease isn’t a big deal to me it’s how long will the glass last from popping out of the frame .

I would upgrade, but the trade-in deal Samsung is offering for my Z Flip 5 is disappointing. Hopefully they'll do better.

Was supposed to natively run any app VS having to get Good Lock!! Razr allows any app on outside screen....

Very tempting... But my S23 should be fine for another year or two. Hopefully the z flip 7 will have an even better battery and camera.

Foldable screens always have and always will have annoying center lines and split with repeated folding. It's the basic physics of molecular structures. Learn your physics and chemistry. Like constant dripping water creates holes in solid rock over time. So repeated folding will split a screen. Samsung knows these folding screens will fail much sooner than a traditional touch screen. That's why they are producing and pushing them. My neighbor's folding phone screen failed within a year.
