well i have worked night jobs before what i do is stay up all night on the days i have off as it is easier to do but 1 big problem i have had is it fucks up your sleeping patterns by a lot some days i will stay up later some days i will wake up way too late and so on whereas on a normal day i would have certain timeframes to get up and sleep even if i oversleep and so on i would not do it by that much like i did when working at night but 1 good thing about working during the night in stores especially is that it is more relaxed in terms of being expected to do stuff or how you do things and there are less customers to deal with I remember some co workers would always joke around and swear at each other just for laughs and so on also you get paid a lot more during the night last year i was working at night in a store and i worked during the holiday seasons as you get night premium wages and holiday premium wages i worked Sundays and you get Sunday premium wages which are 50% above the normal wage and Christmas/New years both were on a Sunday and as i worked nights i got over 2x the normal wage i got like almost $35 worth each hour for a grocery store

closing apps immediately is a bad thing in terms of battery life... The ram is there to contain all opened applications.. I always say to my friends that iOS has superior memory management (that's why it doesn't have close all apps button, because it's useless)...

+Richard Yes it'll shorten your battery life. Each time you open an app not available in memory the OS has to load everything from scratch and that uses more system resources, and you know the more system resources (mainly CPU) you use the shorter your battery life. So, whether you use Android or iOS there's no need to close apps on your day-to-day use.

Plus the S8 is cheap now on the used market and its android... still has custom roms available. While Iphone 7 is done in a few years u can't use it... apps won't update.

If you used Samsung's Snapdragon version, compare it with the Exynos version.

The export 4K video tells you all you need to know. The iPhone is much faster at getting actual work done (the App loading times aren't the best indicator of a devices true performance potential). This shows why single core performance is still the most important for the majority of Apps.

Since the s8 scored much higher in the gfx department, I'd be curious to know if it runs much better while playing a game to see if they utilize that strength. That's assuming app developers have coded to utilize what's available to them or did they just do a crappy port over from IOS to Android.

Manny Martinez I like your channel man! Your faith content is awesome. I'm just bitter about this video because he's testing a pre-production S8 device. Doing a review on this device before the official phone is released is big no-no. It's the reason why we haven't seen other actual reviews from others yet. The s8 software is still in beta technically which means the performance will be no where near optimized yet... not a fair test.

love this Android software defensors, sticking to the SO that is not optimized for any specific hardware. 4 cores vs 2 cores CPU, 3gb vs 2gb, and still behing a 1 half year technology.

you guys have to remember: apple makes the phone AND the os (ios) so that meanw they can perfectly optimize it for that specific phone. but Samsung makes there phones but not the software. they add a skin to android (touchwiz). so since they dont make the actual os (android), they cant optimize it perfectly like apple can so iPhones are faster at opening apps and running them and doing simple tasks simply due to optimization. And apple doesnt need to put as high specs as the s8 since its optimized so well. you cant really hate on apple tbh.

Try Exynos version. S8 reload all apps because 1. Snapdragon isn't so optimized and it's slower 2. you put too many apps for Android, Google can't optimize RAM Management. On Xeetechcare's channel, he start ~8 apps, 4 games and 2-3 sites, S8, S7, Note5, G6, Mate 9, P10, OnePlus 3t, iPhone 7/7 Plus, etc. keep all these in backround but Pixel reload many apps

Is this the pre production model, so it may not be optimised yet?

I've seen the exact same test for instance showing the galaxy s8 boot in about half the time of the iPhone 7. I've been an apple owner for years but do not believe this set of tests is legitimate - something doesn't add up. I've also seen the restore from memory app test and no apps closed on the s8 and the recall was app to app different. The problem is that each application has its own environmental and developer qualities and limitations which can affect. I believe you can orchestrate either phone to win based on biased section. Just my opinion.

Phonebuff Style Speed test, in my opinion the best speed test, and actually surprised the improvement on the samsung phone, the Note 7 and S7 Edge were embarrasingly slow compared to the iPhones, even so, the iPhone is still faster than the samsung, but, to be honest, that is not surprising at all, although I expected that the difference would be bigger

Therefore that's what carriers are going to sell to the average consumer. therefore this test is fair. maybe Samsung should start being consistent with their products and ship all s8's with the same processor. not to mention the iPhone is 6 months older and still outperforms this.

My S8 is faster than iPhone maybe because of the settings I'm using but some apps do load fast in iPhone 7 maybe due to the programming code of the OS.

I am Apple's fan but I do love S8's screen it looks so cool😃. If iPhone8 contains a screen like this,that will be perfect.

well the bought custom made screens so it won`t be exactly like the samsung model but rather use the display part inside apple own frame so i think that apple will try to make a curved display meanwhile slightly improving the screen to frame ratio ;0

I just ran Antutu and got 180,536 on my 7 Plus 256GB. Geekbench I got 3501/5940. Pretty close to yours. However, I noticed that the latest version of iOS 10.3 is slightly faster then when I first got my iPhone. Probably some optimization/tweaking. I used to get around 3300/5600 Geekbench and 175,000 Antutu.

The A10 Single Core actually compete with my 2012 Intel core i5-3450, and i can play GTA 5 on Ultra with that CPU. Not bad at all! Apple SoC are always superior than what we get on Android (in single core atleast), if they had 8-10 cores it would be a real beast!

Does it matter that you're using a pre-release version of the phone?

was s8 in performance mode or did you turn that off?

Glen F i dont think it was but ,he used snapdragon 835 not the exynos 8895 that's why s8 was slower. with exynos ,is the same or faster than iphone. games are opening the same but on browsing samsung wins easily

Gauloisess Gauloisez he is talking more sense then you, US use the snapdragon and over seas use exynos, exynos has always been faster than snapdragon, also this video is bollox, he is using a phone which is not released, he is using demo version, all the apps are not optimised, so this is a biased view.

When is the s8 coming out? its not coming out for another 2-3 weeks, these are beta phones they have, these are not the retail phones and yes if you do abit of googling you idiot you will find out that US use snapdragon and overseas use Exynos, like i have already said, and yes the game and apps aren't optimised yet as they will all get an update shortly after the S8 is released 😂😂 fml, you make your self sound stupid

First of all switch to Performance Mode in Samsung S8 and then test it's speed...

It looks like that the Galaxy takes longer to open an app when it has to rotate the screen before. For example, wide-screen games vs vertical games like Mario Run.

It always will be unfair to compare between Android and iPhone. Because Android gives facility to user, carrier, manufacturer to customize them as their own. That is why 4GB RAM will always insufficient for Android.

I would personally wait to do a speed test until the retail units hit the shelves. I know it probably won't make a huge difference, but this is still a pre-release unit. Things still are open for change in the software.

you should turn the s8's resolution to same as the iphones and then run the games. I think it's unfair otherwise.

Were you running the apps in qhd or fhd? Yes a slower performance is expected when everything in qhd, given you can choose to run things in 1080p on the s8 you should test the 2 phones that way. For a more comparable experience.

Even 6s will beat the s8 and everythingapplepro, you are the best tech youtuber

I love Android to death but this is getting ridiculous. How is it after all these years with all these powerful specs and chips....android phones far way behind apple when it comes to app loading and optimization speed. Its crazy. Hopefully the Pixel 2 improves on this.

Can you do same test with Exynos-based S8? Exynos-based might not have this issue with launching apps already in memory.
