still using mine in 2022. just got another for about $50 as a spare/backup. def still worth it imo. before an update it had a power saving feature that made everything go black & white so even the entire internet was in blk & wht. coolest feature ever.

hmm my father wants a strong and durable phone I might buy him the Galaxy S5 Active (120 usd on ebay) I think it's not that bad!

The s5 active is the last Samsung with an RF blaster (it can be used as a remote for anything). Also it has dual camera mode (allows you to use both cameras @ the same time). Just FYI

I just pulled out my S6 active today. Same as that one just better gpu. I can max out pubg. Which blew my mind and looks amazing. No lag on all my favorite games. Mostly fps. And yes it can max out fort nite too. Just had to try because someone will ask. BTW my S6 has 3 gigs ram.

You can remap the active button, i have mine set to open the camera. As far as the 6.0 update you have to have AT&T service to get the update because AT&T blocks the update without it. The only work around is to go to best buys samsung department and have them manually update it for you.

I use s5 as well but my USB configuration is not showing off if you can help me with this I don't even know how much I would appreciate you

I had the s5 and boy i miss him and i could play every f*cking game on 60fps because i updated it on 7.1 with kies,damn i miss my s5😭

You need a SIM card by the carrier cause it happened to the s7 to me it already have android 8 and don’t have SIM card for the carrier so it won’t show any updates

Yo just a heads up for proper lighting use the flash. The active button is also programmable. The camera also does slo mo 60 frames at 1080 it has other features you can download for free and also has a feature where it can force focus on one thing or the backround or both. Theres a lot more that you unfortunately missed including the home button which if you press 3 times can do a multitude of different things like set to negative colors. Also on this phone theres a setting where if you press the power button and home button 3 times simultaneously it will take pictures send your exact coordinates, a text that you set previously (sos for example) and also record using the mic. Theres also way more you can do with this phone but i don't feel like explaining it i should probably just make my own vids

I really want to get one of these now. They’re like $80 now on ebay. I’m guessing that they aren’t that bad in 2021. Even if it is, I can custom rom it. I remember when the s5 line came out. My friend saved up his money for 4 years to buy this phone. He kept waiting until samsung released the s5. I remember thinking “what can they do more? This is the perfect phone”. I never got it, but my uncle used to have the electric blue s5. I don’t know why, but the s5 is my favorite design. I’m probably gonna get the active tho, cause I want something more rugged. I could also get a rugged case for the normal s5, but I don’t know.

I loved my S5 active. Ran it for 4 years and wish I would have kept it.

Also the gs5a can shoot 1080p at 60 it's just called Smooth motion

Also try using odin to update manually that worked for me

I feel bad for my sgs5 who struggles RR3 now dude I had great progress on the game with this device

I have it , it sucks now but it doesn’t break easily

@@milosvuckovic5041 It lasts a good amount of time if you turn on power saving mode... like way way way better than regular mode and I notice no performance change, kinda odd. Battery is like, I drive about 7 hours a day for my job so maps is open 7hrs/day and I'm streaming podcasts on Sound cloud 7hrs/day as well. From 100% I'm down to about 15% after that.

Yes, Same problem here. There is no shortcut quick button on the notification toolbar in this phone and neither you can add it by going into Notification Panel Setting. However, You need to go Settings > Data Usage on each time when you want to Enable or Disable data.
