I'm a long term note user, flat displays are much better, at long last, it's a true note. Can't understand people who expect the design to change every year, there is only so much that can be done, I prefer the squared corners to rounded ones. The 100 x zoom is far from a gimmick, they did an excellent job, considering this is a phone we're talking about. The pixel 8 pro is 2400 nits. I'll be swapping my 23 ultra in for the 24 ultra, I've heard the 24 + and ultra will get the snapdragon in all markets

I will be a Samsung S24 Ultra this year, all the way from South Africa 🌍

When it comes to the zoom, Pixel 8 Pro and some of the Chinese brands are 5x zoom with large 48 - 50 MP sensors, that have matched the S23 when zoom to 10x 20x and 30x. The iPhone has a 5x 12mp sensor that is not as good even at it's 25x max zoom compared to the other rivals. The S24 5x 50mp sensors is larger and hopefully match the S23 10x in most zoom situations. Also, if the specs are correct it will be faster/brighter and also fixes the 4K zoom limitation during video recording. I am happy with my S23 and intend to keep it for a few years.

I wish Samsung would do everything they have in the ultra in the 24 plus I love the look of the s24 plus but I want that awesome camera etc.

Sammy can stick the s24 and 24plus. Why? Because of exynos. Yep here we go again. UK getting 2nd prize when others like USA get Snapdragon and a better product at the same price. Samsung shouldn't be allowed to do this. Trading standard should step in there's that much of a difference

Which question I’m fixing to get a new one and I don’t know which one it’s betters for camera quality, and long lasting battery and etc should I get the Samsung Galaxy 23 ultra or 24 ultra is better to get which one I should get ?

FYI, Samsung had its research on titanium earlier and has been trying to dea with titanium casing since 2 years. So it's not copying Apple though i agree apple first made a bold move to cater this titanium casing.

They could have atleast put the 108 mp sensor on the s24+ to differentiate it more from the regular s24.

The idea of the + variant is to be a S24 with a larger screen. If you want better hardware you get the Ultra version.

@@TheSuperpilly the idea of the plus is not just plus sized. It has to have plus features as well just like other brands. Otherwise they should name it samsung galaxy L for large. If it's just a bigger screen and bigger battery then why buy the plus? The plus model is the least making sense out of the 3. It's 200 dollars more for what, a couple of inches and mah? Lol if it was me I'd get either the regular if I'm cheap or ultra if I have a couple of dollars to spare. The plus does not make sense at all.

Ishit always has the same design.. But now they have the punch hole for the front facing camera.. WOW!!! so innovative!

Hopefully theres some good trade in deals for the S23U, if not its going on ebay.

The curve makes it better than anything else. Classy and Sophisticated feel. What a shame, Ill wait another year

Never understood, how Samsung decided to make curved display for pen experience and flat one for the models without a pen. I was waiting to have my dear Note3 flat experience back for years, and I am happy they are back on track. Didn't buy the 23 Ultra because of that rumor.

Depends on the chipset in Europe for me. Got the exynos s22 ultra and its not been the best ride for me. Not bad, but it hasnt been an ultra experience. I'd like snapdragon in EU

The s22 ultra is still a super good phone bro, if I were you tho, I would hold it for the s25 ultra, but in all honesty you won't see big changes if u switch, just some more extra features and faster processor and cameras

I would advise to do lots of research with the s22u specs and compare them to ur needs and wants to see whether or not it will benefit u and ur wallet, u can watch videos comparing them too

The only thing you'll notice a huge difference in, is a fresh battery! I love my S22U. Battery has been great. Screen resolution matches any phone out. And the camera is just fine!

The state of tech and flagship smartphones have become so stagnant that every iteration of the companies new flagship smartphone feels like a minor spec bumb. I guess the only innovation in the smartphone tech is in the foldable now. I feel are now bored of the yearly upgrades now and the company should change there strategy and come up with new smartphone every 3 years now as that would feel like an actual upgrade to buy a new phone.

more megapixels does not mean more quality. The crisper the original photo (good light, properly focused, etc.), the better the results that you will get even having less pixels.

I heard leaked rumors that this year's Samsung trade-in deals are awful... just like the year before. I hope this isn't true because that would suck big time!!!

I feel like they should make a smaller version of the ultra phones like the size of the regular S 24, but the ultra basically just the ultra the smaller size for people who want ultra phone) but not the bigger size kinda like what Apple does with their pro phones

This is just a note ultra rebranded, what would be good if they could bring back the ir blaster on the phone, especially since they have the Samsung eco system which has ir blasters devices, battery 🔋 replacement would be nice but we all know they going keep saying it for economy purposes and not forgetting include a damn charger plug that support the phone speed.

I’m personally glad the s24 ultra with use a much more premium body material because let’s all be real for a second charging consumers 1300-2000 dollars for a phone with aluminum frames is robbery. And either make the devices cheaper or use higher end materials which will make our purchases feel more worth the high dollar amount

I'm catching myself hoping S24 Ultra will be worse in someway than previous model, only not to get a FOMO . The truth is that S23 Ultra is the best phone I ever had and I'm not even using its full potential. So I don't want to upgrade in this year or even in next 2 or 3 years. S24 Ultra may be more powerful but what for ? My model can deal whit any task with no sweat. It may be the best phone ever made.

S24 ultra is so sexy the subtle build quality changes are nice but also the big AI narrative is beast mode. Best phone of 2024 for sure u less they finally do the fold 6 right. I have a fold so i can't go back to the candy bar but it is tempting.

Only way I'll upgrade from my S23 Ultra 1tb is if they offer a 2tb model of the s24 ultra then I'd trade in my s23 ultra and upgrade but from the leaks it doesn't seem the case this year unfortunately. Maybe the s25 ultra will have a 2tb model hopefully then

In all honesty, they should reduce the price when launching the very same phone with an exynoss processor. You pay the same money for less performance and more heat issues. If the South African market gets the Exynos version again on the ultra, I might just give it a skip.

Finally comes time to put my note 20 in retirement. Will buy s24 ultra. And if I am going to have it for almost 4 years as well I will be very happy

I think Samsung learnt their lesson long ago! That was back in 2016. I have had 3 Samsung phones since that Note 7 problem, and all are fine. I have the S23 Ultra and the S24 will probably be using a similar battery. The Note 7 battery is old design, so no chance of that happening unless there is a quality control problem!

UMMM the offers last year from samsung on trades were seriously aweful. The company took a preorder hit even. Customers were super complaining and i was one of them. So lets hope they correct that or pass again.

I'm personally bummed about them wanting to switch to a flatter display. I've only used Samsung since the s10+ & the curve display is a premium feature that really sets Samsung ( and the Ultra models ) apart. My s22Ultra has been a terrible & unreliable phone & I was planning on upgrading this year but if they're dropping the curve I'ma skip out on it & hope they bring it back in the future. yea it makes screen protectors kind of annoying but they still work fine & if Samsung wouldn't cheap out so much these days & still ship their phones with a pre installed protector it wouldn't even be an issue smh

Who cares it gives us more reasons to hang onto our phones phones longer now that's a benefit for us customers. Only way I'll upgrade from my s23 ultra 1tb is if they offer a 2tb model on the s24 ultra then I'd do it but if not then I'm keeping what i got since all i care about us storage and the screen quality. I can't give a rats ass about better camaras because there already good enough on the s23 ultra
