I absolutely LOVE the original galaxy buds , and was quite hyped to see the changes in buds+ . So far , most of the new changes are pretty good , but I'm not a big fan of the glossy finish . I believe matte is the way to go

The only problem I've had with the matte finish over the past year I've been using them as my daily drivers but the finish is pretty cheap and the oils from your skin and just daily use really wear down the outisde giving it a greasy and cheap look. Hopefully these don't wear as quickly.

Ambient noise has been on the regular galaxy buds before apple did it, you phrase it like apple did first.

@@yeayea8448 Design wise yes, call quality, ambient sound, battery, and function wise there is actually a significant difference for the price tag for only +$20. Instead of 14hr all together u get 33hrs, the call quality is now better than the airpods pro, not that the galaxy buds call quality was rly horrible I used it almost everyday w out any problems. Now 3mins charging will get u 1hr battery life.

The problem is... most of them always compared it with AirPod pro... To be honest... I trid my friend AirPod (1st gen), I was surprised that it is easy to use and easy to put. But the main feature (audio), Galaxy Buds is still better. The little things that AirPod are better than Buds: 1. The case is easier to open with 1 hand, tey Galaxy Buds... it can be opened with 1 hand if you tried enough... 2. It just stay in the ear... no pressure in the ear at all which are both good and bad... It is not making your ear "deafen" it feels natural, but at the same time, I felt insecure that it might drop anytime... (pun intended) TL;DR Apple is being Apple, good in comfort, bad in where it should.

My rule for anythign that's always upgraded annually: 1. Either buy it when it is launched to get extra from pre-order or buy it 6 months after. 2. But the last gen after the newest one launch to get easy 25% - 30% cut. And somehow with my rules... I still got butt hurt by Samsung... Bought my mom A50s 3 months after it is launched... guess what? They launched A51 ... for the exactly same price... Now I am scared to buy myself A71 since It might be A71s later...

My reasons for upgrading: Seamless transition from device to device without unpairing. Stronger Bluetooth connection. The originals would often act up with a static sound when first inserting phone into a pocket or turning my head sharply. iOS support with an iOS app Extended Battery life although it was never really an issue for me. Warranty - best buy offers a 2 year with accidental warranty for $30.

i never had the static sound with the earbuds and also the pairing was never a problem for me.i switch it on and it starts playing my music automatically. so i guess i"ll stay with buds. i also dont have any latency problem on that.but ios app? what is theapp called?

When I bought my airbuds from Best buy, I got the 2 year warranty. Love my airbuds, but the phone quality sucks. In two months, I'm going to return my airbuds to best buy and get the airbuds+ because Samsung and everyone knows the phone quality on the airbuds suck really bad.

@@prisai03 iOS app is called "Samsung Galaxy Buds +" looks like it needs some updates before it becomes useful. Static issue can be phone specific (note 8) one of my major occurrences is if I squat to the floor in the gym / especially if I turn my head to the left. I love my Galaxy Buds and probably wouldn't of upgraded if it wasn't for the seamless transition from Android to iOS to Mac os etc. For me anyway I'm forced to go into settings and pair like normal to get them to switch unless it's Android to Android.

Me listening to this video on Airpods,with the idea to get the buds 🤫

Disappointed they didn’t make them much more water/sweat resistant. Jlab icons have a higher water resistance rating on their earbuds at half the price.

Great review! I have the original buds and enjoy using then on the daily. Don't think the upgrade is worth it but definitely good competition for Apple earbuds. Also, my case took many scratches and a beating that I got a skin for them. I'm sure this could be a great alternative on the new glossy case.
