It's good but not worth $150. I have Tranya T1 and bud plus and T1 sounds much better if song has lot of bass. Buds plus is beast on mic quality and Ambient mode but sound quality is average in my opinion. Good but not worth $150

I didn't notice any significant difference on the sound though 😕

I tried the galaxy buds+ and I can tell without a doubt that the microphone is WAY better than what we heared in this video. I don't know what happened this time but the when I tested them myself the sound way very impressive and clear. I could almost hear better through those than in real life.

I have galaxy buds. And I love mine. And since this quarantine thing started. I've been talking on the phone literally all the time. And I have no problems with the way it sounds. Like it sounds like a phone call to me

The best way I've found to get edge tap working is actually to tap the back of my ear instead of the buds. Almost like you're flicking the back of your own earlobe but up towards the middle of upper edge. Plus no accidental double taps on the touchpad that way!

Hey Mike, great video first and foremost. About to make a purchase and sort of torn between the old vs. the new. I'm fully aware of the price difference but again, new and updated features come with the steep price. My main concern is the size of the part that actually goes into your ear. My wife has really small ears and hoping that it would be small enough. We have yet to find ANY earbuds that actually fit comfortably. Almost all will fall out of her ears. So, could you tell me what are the sizes? Thank you.

At 4:40 that noise indicates that you have the left and right buds in the incorrect slots, example the left earbud is in the right earbuds position in the case.

It's not really a problem when they make that sound, if it really bothers you just try to remember to turn ambient sound off

You can use them both at the same time or one at a time

I tap the back of my ear to change the volume, trying to tap the edge of the bud is super tricky but I've found hitting you're ear in the back works pretty much all the time for volume.. I got my Bud's Plus from Kogan $140..

question this video pop up on my recomenndation and i was wondering if the original ear buds work with the plus? if you original earbuds on the plus case?

I have icon x 2018 works perfectly . The wing tips suck so instead i tied a a rubber band into a not around the buds and they dont move at all no issue with sensor moving to far away from ear causing it to pause or hang up call

They added a red and pink color to the Galaxy buds+ :D

@@user-ly7rg3ll4o look up the lypertek tevis, i believe it's something like 9 hours on the earbuds and 30 on the case... I'm not sure if those are the exact numbers but it's good battery life. Also, it's IPX 7 so that's cool too.

Do you know if any of these 2 will charge using watch active 2 wireless charger?🤔🤔

I found that tapping the back of your ear right where the earbuds rest, it almost always works to adjust the volume with the labs thing turned on.

Just wanted to know if one plus users were facing issues with call quality while using the buds plus? Planning to get them mainly for calls and music

Please test it for skype calls, zoom calls, MSTeams calls etc from the laptop with windows 10. This will help a lot of people.

Mike can you use the volume controls with PC? does the auto play/pause work?

No there are no wireless earbuds that sound as good as high quality wired earphones. There is a tradeoff for the convenience and features that come with wireless.

Are Samsung galaxy buds comaptible with Redmi K20 pro/MI 9T? Does they work flawlessly or some functions are limited(call and touch gestures work)?

I havn't been able to find a direct answer. Are you able to charge the older version of the buds with the new case? Lost my case, and thinking of buying the plus buds and just charging the old ones in the same case as well.

Yes you can.

Theres a red version now too.

There's rarely sound delay in my regular buds in video. In game on the other hand, there's like a solid half a second of delay, not sure how the plus is in games.

The galaxy buds plus should have been the orginal buds the first gen buds are good but not perfect

AshFung M if they made the best off the get go, they run the risk of not being able to make noticeable improvements in future generations. From a business standpoint, it's good. Every company could make a better product on the first generation but they don't just so they can make improvements.

Good review. Next time when you're showing the apps of an old and new, start by showing the old first.

Does the battery of the galaxy buds go worse after using it for longer then a year?

The galaxy buds + sound sharper and have a less “underwater” sound.

What about video recording? Or small audio/video messaging in WhatsApp/Telegram etc? I found an issue (for me) with the first Buds that in case of recording a video, having a video call or recording small video messages in Telegram app, it still relies on the phone mic, not the Buds. Is it the same in Buds+?

I'm probably gonna go for the galaxy buds original ver. This video helped a lot

Can either of them pick up bass guitar really good? At least 90% of my playlist consists of older music where bass guitar tends to be washed out by typical earbuds (wireless or wired). The SoundAlive equalizer on my s7 edge helps a bit but there aren't a lot of frequencies that I can alter to my liking. I often hear the "pulse" of the bass but the sound itself is nonexistent.

I have hearing damage and the AirPods just arnt loud enough are the galaxy buds a lot louder?

None of these reviewed models sounded great for me in terms of audio quality but new Buds+ sound significantly better. I used 2019 model for few months but gave them away after trying Sony WF1000M3, which were the first truly wireless buds that satisfied (surprised actually) my trained ear. However I still gave a shot to new Buds+ and my verdict: still don't get anywhere close to Sony but I won't give them away - they are worth keeping and using. So what exactly was different for me in a new model: 1. They are louder. The older model was really quiet for me. 2. The sound quality is significantly better with more defined bass and wider sound stage though I am still missing crispy highs. 3. Microphone for calls is an obvious winner - the old ones were quire terrible, the people on the other end were constantly telling me they cannot hear what I say (this was actually the main reason I gave them away, not even the audio quality for music). New model has good call quality. 4. Better connection. I had issues with older model while connecting them to other devises than Samsung phones with dedicated app. New model connects to other devises without an app just great and stays stable. 5. I absolutely admire new glossy finish, I have black version and it looks chic. Old ones looked good but not chic. I also have one strong con for the new model: the case keeps discharging itself even without being used. This is confirmed, I have them for more than 3 weeks. Old model did not have that issue. If I charge new case and leave it even without buds in it, if will go to orange light (less than 60%) in a day or so... without being connected to a devise, of course. I googled - it is common issue. The latest update did not fix it. It still fine, not draining in an hour but I wanted to go to another city and took the buds after not using them for 4 days and phone app showed me case charged 40%!!! Obviously I was upset.

Great review, to me the buds sound the same in Mic quality indoors but what about outdoors. Because my friends can hear me fine when it is quiet but not when I am in a bus or in a large shopping centre. Could you do an outdoor Mic test please?

My friend just got the buds (non plus) and I found the call quality to be much better then the example you show. Your display of their mic makes it sound bad but I didn't even notice it with the real call.

I cant even access the settings on the Wearables app. It says connected on main menu but when I go to the Buds menu it's all grayed out.

Most video players measure the latency to the speakers and shift the audio track accordingly. That's why you didn't notice any latency in videos. In interactive stuff, like games, the audio of course can't be "pre-sent", so you'll hear the difference.

It was a great video, my only problem was not showing how the buds+ show the battery indicator for the case on the app. I think you could have been a little more prepared than that because thats something that could be a deal breaker for some. I know you mentioned it but that it.

The battery indicator in the app is right next to the buds. It shows a picture of the case, and then the percentage

I'm using the buds+ on my S10, and I think it's a nice combo

I have a question, can you charge The Galaxy Buds Plus with a Galaxy Buds case? I lost my Galaxy Buds Plus case last week when i was taking a train to school, havent seen it since i forgot the case in the train, i want an alternative to charge the buds since i have both of them(the buds), i know that without the respective case i wont get important software updates but i don't want to pay a fortune for earbuds i already have. Yes, I just upgraded from my galaxy buds that had the right ear going quite to the galaxy buds+ and the original case will charge the new buds+ only thing is the app always shows the case battery at 0 and you won't get a full charge out of the older case

As of September 2020 you can get the first galaxy buds for $76. I've had them since they first dropped and they work perfectly fine and sound decent.

I think most people use these Styles earbuds for workout swimming activity. At least a lot do. I just look them up apparently there not even water resistant much less waterproof. I've had terrible experience with the Galaxy around the neck earbuds in the past. The regular buds just went on sale on Amazon which got my attention but they're not even water resistant I'm not interested. Thank you for your time and review

For double tap edge just double tap the back of your ear and it has a better effect, doesn't wiggle your ear bud loose and works alot easier

I am in Canada, they will be release early March. I can t wait to have them. I don't think they sound so much better though

So I have them now. They are absolutely fabulous. I want to say way better than the first one. Enabling the labo mode allowed me to have spotify, ambiant mode, volume up in down by touching different areas of the earpieces. This is a life changer.

Do the Galaxy Buds+ work with iPhone 6? I downloaded the Galaxy Buds+ app but when I open it a white box appears stating 'Can't open this app. Not compatible with your device'. Is there a way around this?

I had the original galaxy buds the volume ended up going really quiet on both buds. I sent them away to samsung and they both needed replacing. Is anyone getting these problems with the buds plus ?.
