My dryer does not dry my clothes. It will get warm initially and then after a minute it will not heat up no matter the setting used. Checked all the parts listed, coil packs and all are working/have continuity. Anyone know what else it could be. It is also a samsung front load dryer.

Great pithy video. Gas dryers so easy to work on. So few things go wrong with them. Was able to test the thermostat and coils while changing the jets for LP without taking the drum off/out. Blew it out with a leaf blower and was able to clean the belt area from the back as it now vents to the floor (what a pain). Thanks again.

Hi, I have a gas dryer. My gad is working fine. The igniter is turning on and giving me a flame. The vent tube is clear. I changed all 6 parts you mentioned in your video (the two parts on top of the igniter and the two parts on the vent). I also change the two coils by the gas area in the right. My dryer is heating up but is not drying the clothes. It take three cycles to get it almost dry. Also I am finding water on the vent tube. But like I said, the air vent is clear all the way out. My Samsung dryer started making chirping noises just outside of warranty. Turned out to be the four rollers for that drum. I ordered a set of rollers and replaced them and the dryer was fine after that but now it's not drying properly. Sometimes clothes are dry and sometimes clothes are not dry. Plenty of air flow through the outside vent and the heating element is coming on so I'm being directed to the moisture sensors that are located adjacent to the lint trap. I was told to clean them with rubbing alcohol and try the dryer again. So far tonight three loads of clothes dried with no issues, we'll see what the next week or so brings. I'll never have another Samsung washer or dryer.

Thanks for watching, is the exterior/outside vent clean and clear as well? Also, how does your vent screen look? Is it damaged in any way? A damaged vent screen can cause this as well, below are a couple causes. 1. Warped/bent vent screen frame…leading to vent screen not properly seating inside insert and causing red icon to illuminate. 2. Vent screen that is ripped or has holes can cause imbalanced airflow through screen causing this as well. 3. A filter screen that appears clean and clear however a good portion of screen is clogged (not noticeable to the naked eye from quick glance) leading to this. A friendly cleaning with a vacuum may help. Keep us posted. @@zacharydrettwan3310 Thanks for the follow up, any update? We talked to a viewer that mentioned his icon has remained illuminated for over a year and his machine has operated as designed the entire time. That wouldn’t really be ok with us, we want to get to the bottom of it and figure out why it’s illuminated when it’s not supposed to be. You may need a software update…which a licensed technician will do. At the very top front center portion of your machine, you will see a flap that says (SmartConnect). On the right hand side, you can press in-&-out which releases the tension tab. Once inside, you can carefully remove the (usb guard) on left side. A reset or update may be what your machine is wanting.

I despise this dryer. We just put a heating element, fuse, and thermostat on it. It's not heating up again. Back to lukewarm. At this point it has to be the intention of design to run this poorly.

@@jimmymikecallahan8488 Thanks for the update, the booster fan is mainly used for boosting airflow through your system. It’s the circular fan located below lint screen unit & is very important. If it has become jammed or disconnected from your motor, your system loses roughly 40-50% drying power.
