just what i was needing , dryer been down for a week ,dryer in warranty period , however it is scheduled 2 weeks out for parts replacement , service provider shipped me the heating element with all new components (not sure how that works customer gets parts ,has wait 2 weeks for service tech to repair ) ,found your instruction video , our home is back normal ,momma is smiling again ,thank you so much

Nice.. i just bypassed all that safety crap.. works fine now.. dryer lives in a concrete basement with concrete ceiling so if i open the door to the laundry room and all the walls are black then i know the dryer is broken..

I followed this video and my issue was the coil, so an addendum on each piece possible would be good, secondly was pretty tricky getting belt back on with the drum. I’m not an appliance tech was my first repair of a dryer. So was a good breakdown

I have the same model number dryer , and no heat as well… what are those part numbers that I need to order? I might as well change all of them for the 10 or $12 as you did in the video…..

How do you know if the thermal is the right way? I’m replacing my entire heating element and that’s the one component I’m having issues with because there is no indicator on the new fuse to validate that I have it the right way and I’m nervous to connect the wires if it’s not on the right prongs

It doesnt matter which way any of those go in. Just as long as the power feed comes into the heating coil first then jumps to the next sensor then to the fuse then back to the machine. There are 2 wires going to that element so one on one side then daisey chain until the last sensor and back out.. like top terminal to bottom of the next with jumper wire..

Find your model number and type the number followed by the words “heating element”

I have that model but you did way too much work on it. You do not have to remove tub to get heating unit out. Simple to reach in to remove back 2 screws and pull it out. You do want to remove the cover over squirrel cage to clean the cage and area which you did do but no need to remove the drum/tub. KISS...Keep It Simple Stupid is the best approach.

Is it really necessary to remove the drum? In other videos I've seen the people don't do that.

If youre nimble and have small arms that are resistant to getting cut on things than no you dont have to removr the drum. If you wear rubber gloves and dont let your arm touch any of the wire terminals you dont have to unplug it. You can also access the element through the duct vent by removing one screw on the back but only one arm will fit in so if your good at blindly working with one arm than your golden..
