Can newer flip phone guts be fit in to a startac phone so it can work?
I need to replace my screen. But they cost between £50-120!! NO way am I paying half the phones cost just to replace the screen.

£50 to £120 seems to be quite a big margin in regards to a screen. I paid £45 for a replacement screen for my daughter's A40. What phone have you got?.
