I am flipping out. Earlier today, I saw this instrument in the "Free - Come and Get It" section of Craigslist in my area. I told my son, "Wouldn't it be cool to get this thing and sample it to make an instrument?" Fast forward six hours and I click on a pianobook video, which recommended Jon here. I peek over at his playlist and I see THIS VIDEO. Crazy. Gotta love it.

This is so stinkin cool. I just found out about the fun machine when I saw one on marketplace for $150. I’m so glad you guys did this.

Intrigued to hear how this comes out. The Optigan, Talentmaker, Mellotron etc are so much fun, but they're very overused. I think I heard of this thing a while back but had forgotten about it and you've reminded me! Anyway, look forward to the result. Have a nice weekend Jon.

Embarrassed to admit I've never heard of The Optigan and the Talentmaker. I need to research.

@@JonMeyer You've definitely heard them, even if you don't know what they are. I demonstrate a couple of examples in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/poSpsMShetXWo84.html

Wow impressive work. About halfway through the video, after hearing Joel talk, it hit me how little I know about many things in the recording world. Inspiring!

How exciting Jon. Puts me in mind of Gotye around 10 years ago kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJqFo6ymgarFqNY.html . Very interested to hear the results and whether you'll re-score your Westworld piece with it Ha Ha . Good to see you haven't changed much in the last 5 years since you were in your twenties. ;-)
