great video, found it very helpful. will be adapting some of this in my own spring cleaning :) I think limiting the tools one has at their disposal is a key way to form a "sound" for yourself as a producer/artist

Good stuff... organization helps with workflow! I separate out plugins, that I use, under Collections, so like instruments, Drums, FX, Comp&Filter, etc. I only use 1 Collection for favorite samples. The rest of the samples... as I get em, I just throw them in my already organized by categories folders. One thing, that I will mention, is that I no longer worry about so much sample cleanup as I tag everything in Live 12 now, so I let Live do the organizing. If I find something I really like and may use in the future, then I add it also to my Collection for samples. I really really wish Live would have added more collections, actually, as that is my go to and could have used 2 more under that section.

Ahhh File Management can be ball & chain. And then you have to worry about backups / cloud syncing. I have been a computer nerd / web design / graphic designer / videographer & photographer for decades (I'm Old) and have yet to find a full proof system. It soon gets messy unless you allocate time to tidy things up on a very regular basis. As soon as you start moving stuff, especially vendor files or default folders, it gets messy. Like your office fling cabinet or home kitchen cupboards .... where did I put that? What is it called? Shall I put it in this drawer / folder or that other one. I just accept it can be a nightmare unless you are a tidy freak. Either way, it steals time to read / look / hear your files. Good Luck.
