Your take on the Pacific is truly impressive, and you've managed to achieve such a lush and airy sound. Despite my curiosity itching to know the nitty-gritty details of how you tackled this, I'll respect the time and effort you've spent to create such a wonderful sound. :P Best, Argy

I appreciate that! Perhaps I'll do a video about it, but the main thing I did was turn down the close mics by 7.1 db.

This is an interesting performance. I would also like to try "pacific strings" if possible.

This was great. When it came to the end, I was left wishing there was more. (Don't worry, I know how much work it is. I've been trying to tackle Bartok's 3rd Piano Concerto, myself).

@@michaelbarrymusic669 Thanks. I'll need it! I've completed the MIDI for the second and third movements, but it still sounds artificial.

Good job! What is the Room Noise? Or how does it work?

Oh, its an old trick - sonic trickery, I did turn it up during the quieter moments as I notice this happens during classical recordings.

Great sound! What is the difference between the various legato patches (A-B-C), or are they just duplicated for divisi?

Thanks, a long time ago I decided life is too short to fiddle with merging legato patches so I do 4ish bars on track A then track B and I don't have to fiddle with that.

@@5ammy13 I work 4-8 bars at a time, if a legato line continues after that I play the next bars on a second track instead of merging two regions with conflicting cc11 and cc1 values. Same instrument same settings, just another track.

That solo horn sounds terrible. Stick to real sampled instruments and not modeled ones if you can't properly craft a convincing performance.
