The actual challenge is closed now, so I'm uploading my reaction!
Sample Modeling has done a great job with this mockup vs recording comparison. Was a lot of fun to guess.
As of the upload, I haven't found their released answers so I have no idea if I'm even close or totally off! But a really fun exercise, and it proves how far virtual instruments have come.

Nice trick. If it was just one instrument, it would be easier. Try listening to just one instrument at a time. The instruments should interact IRL, but they won't in the sample.

Yup, BUT they did do a fantastic job matching the real performance.

이거 저도 해봤는데..ㅋㅋㅋ 자기네들이 올린 데모랑 영상이랑 매우 달라요. 자꾸 들어보니까 좀 차이점이 있은 것 같아서 적어내긴했는데..ㅋㅋㅋ 이거 벌써 발표났어야지 않나요??ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Sample modeling Facebook 에 답이 나왔나봐요 ㅋㅋ 참 어렵죠? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 초반에 몇게는 맞췄는데 갈수록…ㅠ
I think as you say - you can really tell when you have a couple notes playing against each other, the samples are too pure and don't give you those rubs that cause real texture, sounds too clinical, and the attacks are too uniform, but it's very impressive.

Yet I was fooled! There are parameters that control bow pressure, attack modulation, and even little harmonics between notes. It can sound quite close!

Hahaha there already is some AI composing. But so far, computers can’t innovate

digital composing is already here (since many years actually). DAWS, Notation software, sample libraries and modeling synths etc...

@@mr_don_key I think he might have meant AI composing, which has come a long way but is still very far (as for what I listened to) from beautiful and authentic music made by humans. As long as computers assisting composing such as notation softwares, they are just very useful that need to be put in the right hands
