Damn, this only reminded me how great footballer Luis Muriel is, and even more, what a great potential he has to become even better! A real star in the world of football! Sampdoria shouldn't have let him go so easy, and for the amount of 'only' 20 million, which, although it's realistic figure for him at the moment, the fact of the matter is that his price tag will continue to rise each season. If he continues to develop at the same pace in Spain, as he did in Italy, of course - but I've no doubts that he will! Sampdoria is one of those Serie A teams which I always found to be very 'attractive', or likable, if you will, 'cause I'm 37 and remember them from the period of Mancini in 1991, when they were Scudetto winners, and finalists in the UCL finale, against Barcelona (and I remember well just how difficult it was for Barca to win, 'cause it could've been the other way around easily. And if that happened, maybe today we would've looked at a completely different Sampdoria team. A team that's in a company of the Serie A big 5 teams at the moment (Juve, Milan, Inter, Napoli & Roma - although, if we are for real, we've gotta say that Roma isn't really a great team, but a wannabe great club. Unlike Napoli, who are surely going back to the old days of glory - the team with the most realistic chances to stop the Juve Scudetto domination, and become champions this season. And unlike Napoli, Roma is everything but...). However, it is what it is, and although Sampdoria isn't in that distinguished company of the biggest European teams, they're still utterly attractive & likable. The biggest (or rather, most important) issue for them to become more independent, to have bigger revenue and achieve a level of financial stability, is to (finally) build their own, new and modern, strictly football stadium (owned by the club, of course). If that happens, there's no doubt that they'll significantly increase the club's budget (and with it, they'll be able to pay bigger wages to the players and keep them from going away in other, richer teams), as well as the international image, and of course, they'll increase the average attendance (with a smart commercial approach, of course). I know they've been talking about it or years, but they never seem to actually start doing something solid. It's only talk, talk, talk, talk...NEVER WORK ON THE GROUND! Why is that happening only in Italy? How come the Italians are the only big football nation that cannot build stadiums?! When it comes to the quality alone, Serie A is on the same level as Bundesliga (which means, the two of them are right after EPL and LaLiga, which are considered to be the best. But the difference between the 1st two and the 2nd two is very small), but it's probably more competitive than Bundes and LaLiga as well. Although Juve dominated the last 6 seasons, the competition was very good, and most important, we watch beautiful and attractive football each week. Thus, Serie A is the most prolific league that has outscored all the other top leagues in Europe, for a third year in a row. And this season, with Milan and Inter coming back strong, I believe that Juve's Scudetto domination will finally be over, and we'll see Napoli (the club that plays the most beautiful football all over Europe, not just Italy) lifting up the trophy, and becoming champions, because THEY SURELY DESERVE IT! And the following years, either them again (Napoli), or Milan or Inter will get the Scudetto, and with it, the reputation and the image of the league - all over the world - will dramatically improve! Forza Serie A, Forza Milan, and greetings to everyone who loves Italian football from Macedonia!
