Description
Dalia or broken wheat is consumed widely in India as an alternative to carbohydrate based staples like rice and rotis. Ir is had in many ways - with milk , as a khichdi etc. Here, we have prepared a delicious Dalia Pulao. Prepared with lot of veggies and cooked in little oil, the aroma and flavours are enhanced with the addirion of desi ghee/clarified butter and delicate mix of spices. This is a simple, nutritious and flavour-ful one pot meal. It is best served hot and can be served to breeak fast or during upvas. A mist try for all in the Hungry Tummy family!
Ingredients -
Dalia - 1 cup
Carrot (Diced) - 1 small bowl
Chopped beans - 1 small bowl
Green Peas - 1 small bowl
Kishmish/raisins - 20 gms
Cashew nuts - 20 gms
Hing - 1/4 th tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/4 th tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Chopped green chillies - 1 tbsp
Cloves - 2-3
Cinamon stick - 1 inch
Cardamoms - 2-3
Bay leaf - 1
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp

*Today I prepared this Delia pulao. It was excellent preparation and very simple to cook. When I was frying Garm masalla, I used a small whole star fruit, Sahih jeera with it. And the flavour came superb. Overall it's very healthy Thank you.*
