Black American/ FBA here ... the SWITCH(you pick your own, at least that's what my Granny made us do) Other tools of familial discipline and warfare are a thick ass leather belt, a thick wooden stick, dem handz, anything that can be thrown with force, among other things that cause immense pain, where your cries are silenced, and decades later you still feel the sting and humiliation. May the force be with you. IYKYK 😂😂😂😂 I miss my Granny, 1924 - 2017

Mom beats your ass. When dad comes home from work you get the real ass whoopin. Depending on what I did even grandpa might come with some slaps or just give me the hour lecture lol. After that I’m a good boy for the next few weeks. Honestly church was the safest place but you still get slapped if you fall asleep or don’t know your place with the elders. The culture is so strong most of America will call it abuse. It’s not though. It’s tough love. I never got my ass kick from my parents without my pops giving me the hard talk about life. We all know our place. Dad is law. When he’s not around my older brother is pretty much my dad. You can be having the best time but when big bro says get yo ass in the car. You get dat ass in the car “se kefe”
