The aesthetics of the 90s are incredible. Real dream bodies. Not bubble gut monstrosities.

They were still fake muscles. I decided to never ever use steroids after I met Kevin Levrone OFF steroids. He was no bigger than me. That's when I realized how fake the drugs are.

The first Samoan bodybuilder to enter the Mr. Olympia. He also won the Masters Mr. Olympia in '95 which higlighted his career. Enormous physique and real legend of the 90s, who also competed against a Young Ronnie Coleman (0:55). In 2000 he was arrested on allegations that he would have assisted an Australian drug lord Tony Mokbel to import coke from Mexico into Australia. He spend three years in prison. In 2004 he passed away from cancer.

I like the video, but I have to share my experience with you, the question is the book You are stronger than you think from Borlest, it is mainly about increasing testosterone, it is a very important male hormone that is responsible for building muscles and bodies in men, trainers and fitness influencers he will not reveal the secrets found in that book, it is also known how weak men are today due to testosterone compared to our ancestors

I was lucky enough to meet Sonny in the 96, while training at Bodywork’s in Wellington. He was humble and nice guy, happy to chat and share his passion. And needless to say, his size was awe inspiring.
It’s amazing how classic the 90’s bodybuilders were at the time. Just pure heart and soul into the sport of bodybuilding.
The greatest era of bodybuilding. RIP my brother. BTW Sonny was part German too. Came from a family of boxers
90s is just something else the proportions his conditioning he is awesome one of my favorite from the 90s lineup he is great when sharing stage with dorian in 1991 1992 1993 tremendous bodybuilder

Great stuff seeing the guys you'd look forward to seeing in the magazines my favorite was Musclemag think it was a Canadian Publication.
R,I,P UNKIL❤️🤩🙏🏽
But in my opinion, the most successful bodybuilders of the entire era and history were Arnold, Lee Haney, Dorian Yates, and Phil Heath, who, in addition to winning many championship titles, also maintained their health and beauty to this day. These 4 legends✌🏻
❤❤❤
The asthetics title goes to him.and the name pickle goes to him..that's what am always taking about the golden era is just mass monster muscle machine..lookbat these guys everyone just perfect to choose between gud or perfect is easy but to choose perfection between perfects is really hard.everyone is just blow my mind. Look at the widht of this guy💪💪

Golden age of bodybuilders were the best
Just in time for leg day ! LFG !!!!
Best bodybuilders best genetics best aesthetics from 90's bodybuilders
Sonny Smidt did have wide clavicles, he has literally no traps making him look even wider. It is well known at that time we all used massive amounts of sh!t , but Sonny used truck loads more. It is widely speculated that his steroid usage was the cause of his premature death.

Hmmmm. So I know NicroVisionMotivation did this video as a tribute to Sam's recent passing(RIP) and kudos to them for this.... However; I just about to make a comment about showmanship/salesmanship in regards to Sam and bodybuilding(in the 90s and ESPECIALLY TODAY) when Arnold JUST said(when Sam placed 6th) that he needs to bring(i.e SELL) his PERSONALITY..... 💯% Nailed it on the head If there's ONE lesson that 90s bodybuilders(the lesser known ones) AND bodybuilders of TODAY(who cares) is the ART of SHOWMANSHIP AND SALESMANSHIP. Case in point.... 90s era PRO WRESTLERS. DIDN'T MATTER how BIG(physically)you were if you didn't know how to SELL SELL SELL SELL yourself to the FANS/PROMOTERS/JUDGES wether you were the one of the good or bad guys. Sam was a beautiful Man with a physique to match, no question. AND!!! He was RIGHT THERE ON THE STAGE NEXT to some of BEST BODYBUILDERS OF ALL TIME Unfortunately , like Arnold says coming to the end of the video...."the personality" has to come out MAIN PROBLEM with the sport of bodybuilding TODAY..... NO salesmanship/showmanship RIP Sam
Bodybuilder ❤

😂 I see what you mean. Samoans in their natural state are black guys from islands. I saw some pictures of them and Kiwis from 100 years ago and they all had Afros. Similar to Haku from wrestling.
So we're all just going to ignore how this man looks exactly like The Rock? Who is also Samoan. Am i the only one who can see this?
