@thedeshbhakt India won't be able to grow from demolishing babri mashjeed, making films against Pakistan lol...very childish, they are showing to win aircraft fight against f16 by a Russian made sukhoi...lol, if they wanted promote nationality emotion still it was not an indian made fighter jet...in reality sukhoi can never match f16 in strength and stealth power...but india never try to show India vs china...when china really occupying a lot territories of india and still invading, are the film makers are scared??? a British Bangladeshi we expect better than this from India and their think tank....

I watched Fighter in IMAX 3D and honestly the visuals were brilliant , i mean come on its a 250cr budget movie and we have such great vfx by DNEG . Hrithik roshan's screen presence is next level , what aura , what looks man ... the drama scenes in the second half is impactful and the pre interval and climax fight is goosebumps guarenteed. OVERALL WORTH WATCH IT ON BIG SCREEN

No we will not watch. Its based on jealousy , hate and ignorance towards Pakistan. Till today India didn't provide a proof of surgical or Balakot strikes. Imran Khan mocked it in his Newyork UN speech but Indian delegate didn't respond because in your own 3rd world countries one can lie 24/7 to gain vote but in international space one can't. Foreign media will tear you apart. Secondly, Pakistani pilot was shown a kaala man with surma in his eyes and Indian pilot is hrthick when the reality is totally opposite. I bet Pakistan is shown a slum of India with indian green mosques and indian style holes wali skullcap. Hrthick and all Kapoor genes are from Pakistani regions. Those genes are not even 1% of India. The reality is that North Indians are 5 to 30 shades kaala and 10 to 30 phase Dravidian featured than Pakistanis. Our looking people are those who migrated from India during 1947 and they r not even 5% of Pak population.

I watched Fighter yesterday in 3D...movie is excellent ...action level is literally mind blowing...story is also perfect...my rating 4.5 out of 5.....half mark cut for adding romantic part in movie. Guys, must watch movie h.

This movie is India's "TOP GUN" and instilled inner courage to serve the nation, not necessarily by joining the IAF but through any other possible aspect that contributing to the nation of India.

One movie you should review is 12th Fail, has a great message and is very motivating and has positive vibe, may be it should have been released in theatres instead of OTT, Bollywood must make like this, perfectly helmed and presented, no stars but great performances by all actors...

My 2 cents: The first half of the movie builds up the narrative very well, while the second-half is a patriotism tearjerker with focus on teamwork and of course, nationalism. The "Baap Kaun Hai" monologue seems to be a little out of place. Overall, the movie is an entertainment extravaganza with absolutely no dull moment. The songs and the background score are very aptly and strategically placed in the movie, and add value to the storyline. Unfortunately, there will be references to the movie "Top Gun Maverick"; especially with respect to the flight maneuvers, which is inevitable as that movie had raised the bar high for aerial action and Fighter, despite being a totally original idea, some flight maneuvers remain similar. This similarity is there and should be there as these are basic flight maneuvers practiced by every country's airforce. Other than that, there's another letdown that I observed, with respect to the 3D quality, which is not up-to-the-mark. This movie should be watched over and over again, but in 2D. Summary: Excellent tribute to the Indian Air Force

Edit: you seem to be a cinephile. Why do you think the Hindi movie industry is incapable of making a good movie on submarines? After all there are so many great ones in many different languages for inspiration 😊! From Crimson Tide in English to the German masterpiece Das Boot. Opinions?

Decently summarized. We are not quite there yet in regards to nailing the nuanced pieces (although I wished that the dialogue was tighter), but it is all understandable since this movie is made for the Indian masses looking more for masala, rather than technical accuracy.

Fighter was good. I liked the movie when i left the theatre then all the top gun copy-paste kept coming into my mind and mood spoiled but now with half a day gone after the movie i can appreciate all the sid-anand's touch in the movie and the extra effort which you wont see from bollywood much in the last decade being done here in a commercial A-lister movie.

Today I watched the movie and I must say it's a brilliant movie. Inspiring and a visual delight. Superb story and very good acting. Aerial shots will give you goosebumps. It's the best movie that i watched in recent time.

What more can you expect from Bollywood. It's really going through the crisis of creative bankruptcy

Please review - Ship of Theseus. It never took the real limelight as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Googly were released on the same date and became hits. Ship of Theseus is a game changing movie. Who knows maybe your life becomes better after you watch it.

Watched this movie today on Netflix. Unfortunately, I could not watch in cinema hall as it was short lived here in Melbourne. Apart from copy paste TopGun scenarios, the movie is good and a must watch. I liked the fact all characters get to shine on screen and it’s not a one man show. However, after getting used to watching Hollywood movies, I can clearly see how those song - dance situations break the rhythm and take viewer’s mind off the actual narrative. In a romantic movie, these sequences do well to the mood but in a movie as this , it is just hindrance. Rest, too much underplaying of enemy in last scene. But again … it’s Bollywood !

It's not the budget. It's the details and research that makes a hollywood movie so exceptional.. there are plenty of hollywood movies that are made with 2/3 of Fighter and War budget. Still, they made it to Oscar, and audiences gave a standing ovation.. Fighter is a good movie a step towards the modern movie making but director still need to improve their work in detail and research.. you are forgetting audiences nowadays have access to internet they can easily find the draw backs

Finally someone said the truth about Gadar 2 ...

Fighter was an awesome movie. It was visually stunning, the VFX were fantastic. The music was also really good. Above all the acting by Hrithik and Anil Kapoor and the supporting cast was brilliant. It’s a really entertaining movie. The only reason this movie has not made 500 or 600 cries is because it has a VERY TECHNICAL and uses a lot of technical Air Force terms which many lay people may not understand. In addition the second reason is that it is not a typical masala movie with “Dusham Dusham” fighting. I firmly believe this is one of Hrithik’s best movies!

Whenever there's a movie about/against Pakistan... *THEN ALSO MAKE MOVIES ON CHINA*

What Siddharth Anand does amazingly well is the subtlety of representation. Combating stereotypes of women in the airforce and offering alternatives to the bad muslim stereotype by pitting a patriotic one against a Godless one. I dont see any other director taking these stereotypes head on and this is Sid Anand's masterpiece, no doubt.

Sukhoi’s cobra manoeuver is more advanced which is highlighted in the movie, technically it’s said to be more advanced and quick when compared with American jets so it’s pretty accurate when equipped with a competent pilot

Cobra menoeuver is usless in real war. Is it Western or Russian jet ,this manoeuver is usless in real war. Because doing it is ok but recovering from it take time and lose of power. But as entertainment purpose this is good.

I just watched it today with my mum and grandma We loved it The bonds are so warm and cute The bonb scenes are really sad, especially when you realise this has happened in real life.. to real people... The only thing i kinda found very off was the dialogue hrithik roshan says to the villain.. That might stir dissapointment among the pakistani audiences.. im sure of that... Else, it was a good experience😊

I hope Sid Anand Sir make another War based movie but this time on Indo-China Front. That way even if many sequences he may have to borrow from somewhere else, the fresh story will cover any content based issues and people will get to see another important part of indian army's life. Its sad that we have so many indo-pak movies but absolutely nothing on china, who in reality has done more harm to India as a nation than pakistan and will be the main obstacle for us in the coming decades. It'll also get far more global acknowledgement as western public is quite a lot anti-china these days but sadly there soldiers have never been in direct war against china in long time nor there movie industry will ever do something that will close their second biggest market for them. But this way an Indian movie can get international recognition and more collection as well. So far only Sid looks to be the only person who can pull it off.

@@rajbiswas9077 I dont think so, Unless China has a lot of power over indian film industries which i think they do not. Considering all the racist stuff shown over the yrs in our movies, its safe that there will be no internal resistance for such a project whereas govt will likely support such stuff as long as its politically helpful to them. But only Sid Anand sir is capable of pulling it off on such a big scale others would screw it up badly.

Movies are said to be a reflection of our society, So the one thing fighter has done better than top gun is to add woman pilot as a top protagonist. As you said, in America men's application rose 500 times to enter into air force, fighter will inspire both women and men to get into indian air force.

ishq jaisa kuch is removed from the movie, 2 more songs are there which is filmed aptly. Overall a must watch for all indians as its a rare combination of good story, friendship, special effects in air fight scenes, emotion and patriotism. Kudos to Sid anand for bringing this to us. Keep making movies like this please.🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ I am going to watch again in 4DX

Those patriotism and women empowerment messages to Indian people through this movie - Just Incredible.❤️ Siddharth Anand deserves lot's of appreciation for what he has done with fighter. Amazing direction, storytelling, editing, etc. Siddharth Anand took it too Hollywood level. Now youngsters even more likely to join forces especially women's this time. When Abhinandan chose to cross the LoC and give a dogfight to the F-16 I don't think he would have given a boring formal 1 liner. Admittedly it won't have been the filmy style BUT with emotions running high something cool must have been exchanged.

I've watched Top Gun 1 and 2, Behind Enemy Lines, Stealth and Born To Fly. I'll probably watch Fighter because of this review on VFX. BTW, F in F-16 means Fighter.
