Sambone and working around the Floyd Rose Speedloader
For those of you wondering what my profile picture is all about, that's Sambone! A guitar I had carved out for me back in 2002 by Doug Rowell out of California. It's based loosely on an ESP guitar built for George Lynch. The body and neck are Warmoth, the pickup is a Dimarzio X2N and the bridge is a Floyd Rose Speedloader. For those of you who know about the Speederloader, you know that finding strings is almost impossible. I go into detail as to how I got around that. If you have any questions, post them in the comments.

Thanks Bob, I'll check him out
Floyd Rose Speed loader neck is 22 frets right up to the butt of the neck. The Warmoth 22 fret necks use a standard 21 fret neck but with an extension to the fretboard to fit that last fret - the butt is still sits in the neck pocket designed for a 21 fret neck. In short, the neck pocket on a Floyd Rose Redmond speedloader is closer to the bridge posts than on a normal Strat. That's my experience, anyways.

It's possible, I never had a Redmond. I bought the Speedloader directly from FR years ago. And it worked fine with the strings, but once they lost a company to make those strings, the guitar is useless. I still think the concept is good, but the execution leaves something to be desired.
