That song just gets better and better

I’ve said this before… when Sam plays that beat to hell cigar box guitar there are old southern black men in their graves, nodding their heads and moving their feet. She has tapped into something that is primal. I have a o much respect for her and the band.

@@superblondeDotOrg Because of the sound(s). And the music. When someone tries to describe music using words, you can't take it literally, especially when he/she is trying to be brief. There is a tradition which has very much to do with afro-american men and what I think he's saying is that they would really dig Samantha. I would agree. And that she is keeping that tradition alive but also giving it something new, which is her.

That's how we do it in KC. We are the home of Charlie Parker. Ella Fitzgerald, Mary Lou WIlson, Duke Ellington all got their start here. Tech 9. Patrick and Mike Metheny and so many others are from KC. We are music.

I've always thought Samantha Fish would be the headliner at Telluride since the first time I saw her there and she was just another band in the lineup. Love this latest version of the band and the return to blues rock.

How does Samantha Fish get those bluesy sounds out of that four-string cigar box guitar? I don’t think any other musician can pull that off. Whenever she plays and sings, there is a legion of old black blues men from places like Georgia, Alabama, Texas and Mississippi who are smiling down from heaven. If Samantha Fish gets into a duet with George Thorogood, that will be one for the ages.

Yeah, nice event, live is a struggle, especialliy with the voice mic😉😇, love the new Sound with the synth effects and some keys beside anyway, very controlled and health development for the whole project samantha fish, as i can see only by watching the clips over the years. Jimi said (I've red) something like sleeping with guitar. So it would be like a part of you. I think Samantha is getting very emotional with this (did she wipe a tear) and yet she plays like nothing, like no effort at all. That is, I believe, very, very cool. And a really good riff.

I miss the SF band 2017-2019, so much better than this. Also SF is now much more static and less musical/playful compared to the golden years 2017-2019 with the previous band.
