Btw, when it was revealed that his look changes on his emotions about himself (he feels good about himself - his angel wings return, he believes himself to be evil - he starts changing into a monster). All things we feel in our inner self, in our souls, for angels - reflect outward too, in their appearance, in their physical form. So that made me think - his Devil look, the original one, was with him from the beginning. And it obviously looked like third degree burns. Like someone boiled him alive. According to the Biblical lore, the Devil fell into a Lake of Fire when he Fell. So that made me think - like when victims of trauma end up mentally scarred for the rest of their lives (you can heal, but that experience still stays with you, still shapes you, like a healed scar on your soul), similarly Lucifer healed after burning completely (he is an angel after all) but that look he had right after the Fall, stayed with him, like the ever-present scar of the trauma, the pain he experienced.

@@greys5552 well yeah.. Showing Lu burning to the point his whole body is a third degree burn - all layer of skin gone, in some parts almost to the bone - would be showing plain torture. As dark as Netflix is, I am not sure even they would show this. It's the stuff of nightmares.

The thing is you have to take everything to consideration 1 Think about it, if there are more angels than the entire human population, how many is the 1/3 of angels did he lie to. 2. Satan didn't just start a rebellion, he wanted to be the new God. 3. His pride was bigger than God's warning. 4.If he's the smartest angel, shouldn't he know it's a dumb idea to go up against a omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent being Note:If it wasn't for this show would you still think of him as benevolent and if he wanted to be redeemed he wouldn't have tempted eve and he wouldn't have tried to kill Jesus at birth (Yes he tried to kill Jesus) ALSO. The devil doesnt punish anyone, he is the punished, God made hell for lucifer, He made lucifer as an angel, God believed in free will, lucifer decided to REBEL against God, decieve many angels, and God gave him his punishment, then God made the earth, the devil decided to enter it and decieve more. and then sin entered the earth, with all of this happening, the earth grew with sin, and the devil owned the earth, and now, when people live for the world and live for themselves and sin, they go to hell alongside with the devil because since the devil owned the world and people decided to live for the world, they lived for the devil, and now they die with the devil.

@@nxbility You understand very little if you do not understand the Demiurge Yaldabeoth/Samael - the reason flaw existed in gods creation. Th e reason for the flesh prison we inhabit. In reality Samael is not Lucifer, hes the Demiurge (self proclaimned God of Old testament and not Jesus' God). You are correct though - the vile does exist and it is the Devil feeding off the scar of Gods creation enduring Chaos in this Demiurges realm. In this way the Devil is just evil but then the type of Being that Lucifer is protrayed as here also exists. This show is extremely inaccurate.

Hell no, this vid is a good representation of Lucifer in the show. Other than being a little bit vulgar and hedonistic lucifer has been portrayed as decent through and through who just wants freedom, whereas God and the Angels are completely villainous, with no regards for cost and consequences their actions may bring. They mess with peoples lives, while looking down on them as beeing inferior. I really hope that the show does not make god a sympathetic character in the show, because quite frankly, he doesn´t deserve that and I want to see Lucifer kick his ass. Lucifer was forced to eat one humble pie after another and it´s time for him get himself some glory.

@@mando2657 So did the fictional one. Seriously, what did he ever do that was so evil? Yeah, the Bible says he tempted Eve with the apple in Eden, but she made the choice to eat it. He just pointed out that she could eat it. Humanity is inherently selfish and if God made us as you say, then he made us selfish. The Devil just points it out to us, but he doesn't make us do anything. We do bad stuff and the only beings we can ever blame are ourselves. And that's assuming that God is the benevolent ruler of Heaven the Bible depicts him as, but the truth is we don't know and may never know if that's the real God or if he even exists at all.

mandy camara you ever take a look at what god has done? Asking someone to kill their son, making someone leave their entire family, floods and plagues, and yeah, casting out his own son. God isn’t all good and the Devil isn’t all bad. I think what this show does is make us ask ourselves “is it a burnt dude in a suit that’s making me do all these things or is it the bad choices I’m making?” Literally at every chance some people get they blame their bad behaviour on the devil instead of accepting the fact they themselves did it.

Anyone just think that Chloe was made for Lucifer to bring forgiveness to Lucifer, to apologize for sending him to hell?

He is so depressed and sad about his life, but he tries to hide it with laughter and jokes and sex, but when he finds love he finds out it’s a manipulation. How much worse can his life get? Anyway, this video hits me right in the feels.

I can't stop re-watching this video but that doesn't change the fact that I cry every single time I watch it. Pure Masterpiece I'd say.

i mean lucifer quite literally tried to become God and decieved 1/3rd of the angels (thats alot btw.) so like he got the punishment he deserves, also he doesnt punish, so you know.

I love how they represented his inner feelings. It's so beautifully done, I was amazed when they revealed why he got his wings back and later his Devil face. Lucifer is probably one of my most favourite characters ever and I don't mean just 'our' Lucifer, I mean the original Devil from the Bible. I actually thought about him just like Ella does. He's my most loved character in the whole book (I'm pretty sure I'm going to Hell for that XD but I don't care), because in the end he was just teenage boy trying to get his father's attention. And I, as a teenager myself, can definitely relate to that. But that punishment that followed? Totally unjust, even if he really became 'evil' (I don't think he did) I wouldn't blame him. He, which is little ironic, has the best reason to hate humanity more than anyone else, we cost him his family and home. Maybe instead of just forgiving every sin humans committed if they pray hard enough, God could forgive his son. How we are supposed to forgive someone who hurt us, when He isn't capable of doing the same for his family? Anyways, this isn't meant to be hate commentary of Catholic Church, not at all. I think that the faith those people have is beautiful thing that definitely shouldn't be hated or made fun of. I myself believe in God and I'm proud of it. I just think that over the centuries people made the Devil someone, he wasn't in the beginning. He was once an angel after all. And I don't know how this happened ⬆😅🤣 So... I love your work, it's beautiful and it clearly shows how Lucifer sees his father and mother, himself and the world around him. Which is so hard to show in one short video, but you somehow managed it, and I unconditionally love it. Please keep doing it, it's awesome and you're awesome! ❤❤🥰

Some of us are still baffled at the inaccuracy in name usage. Highlighting one of the most gigantic blunders in the entire series makes me cringe. Samael DOES NOT mean "light bringer". LUCIFER means "light bringer". Samael means "God's poison".

I really appreciate this video because there are hundreds of videos of lucifer being sarcastic or charming or with Chloe, but I come across only this one that talks about his pain. the pain he hides inside his heart is so much and it is a huge part of him. also no matter how much he wants to avoid his dad, he did ask for his help for Chloe and that truly shows how mature and sorted he is priority wise and how pure his heart is.

Not always, sometimes his pain came out when Chloe is near. Remember the scene in s2 ep6 after he wanted the killer shoot him? He said "You never understand, Detective!" when she wanted him to open up to her. And I saw some scenes in s1. Later, in s4 he opened up to her in the heartbreakable scene of ep9

@@oxanatarashchuk4598 there are obviously some moments of pain lucy had with Chloe. but I feel and it's purely my own opinion and my perspective, but I think that the pain he went through for millennia because of his parents neglecting him, his father misunderstanding him, his mother abandoning him, his brother amenadiel constantly acting superior to him and repeatedly rubbing off the fact that he's their father's favorite son, him being put in a position where he gets blamed for everyone's misdeeds, him having an identity crisis and hating himself are far greater than the pain he went through for loving chloe. of course, Chloe is kind of his salvation from all this pain but in the end, he had to face all those pain and encounter his hatred for himself face to face on his own and it wouldn't have mattered if Chloe was or wasn't with him through all these because her presence may make him feel loved and validated but couldn't have eased up the trauma he went through for thousands of years. [ I'm sorry that the text became this long]

The devil doesnt punish anyone, he is the punished, God made hell for lucifer, He made lucifer as an angel, God believed in free will, lucifer decided to REBEL against God, decieve many angels, and God gave him his punishment, then God made the earth, the devil decided to enter it and decieve more. and then sin entered the earth, with all of this happening, the earth grew with sin, and the devil owned the earth, and now, when people live for the world and live for themselves and sin, they go to hell alongside with the devil because since the devil owned the world and people decided to live for the world, they lived for the devil, and now they die with the devil.

Sad Lucifer edits are my guilty pleasure now. Even though they gave us 3 more season out of love for it, and ended it nicely, i still wouldn't mind and watch it if just went on.

U know, as a Christian, loving Lucifer is really conflicting, but honestly, I believe he can be redeemed, He just needs to try to talk to God, because god will allow him

I am Christian, too, but the scandals, physical abuse and all the cruels, done in the name of god, this made me thinking about my life and how I can help people, so I don't go go to church, I go outside and try to help people the best way I can. Often make small gestures people happy, like a smile or just an attention or a hug. So, the series opened my eyes not to be doing good things to get a reward, to do good things because you want to do it and not believe all what I can hear in media and from people.

I just like to imagine sometimes that this isn't just a web series but real!😅

Great edit. The torturer of the damned for eternity happens to be a tortured soul... It's like a dramatic epic poem.

This was simply perfection ...it made you feel a bit of what Lucifer was feeling, it is truly amazing. This is my favorite lucifer edit so far

This is such a moving piece. To see the journey of self discovery Lucifer went onto with sel actualizing in the beginning from claiming he’s not a monster to believing he is one and then finding acceptance and learning to forgive himself and finally realizing he’s worthy of love and able to love

Show really needs to go more into how Lucifer feels about everyone blaming him for everything. They talk about it a decent amount but it’s not nearly enough as it shoulf be

I miss this show so much. I felt for him while watching it i really did. Tom did an amazing job.

"Often, it's the ones who seem happiest that are the ones who are the most miserable". Those that are all humor and partying are often the ones who are the most broken inside. He hides his pain behind jokes, partying,and seemingly unending vanity over his outward appearance...just so he doesn't have to handle what he's internalizing. It's a defense mechanism. 'fake it til you make it', as the saying goes. I'm bipolar, and I can't tell you the number of times I've dealt with thoughts that would amount to passive suicide wishes bc I just knew that I wouldn't be missed. I didn't exactly *want* to die...I just wanted the pain to stop because I felt like if anyone knew the 'real' me, they'd know what I knew...that I was a monster.

Who's the hero and the villain? Depends on who is telling the story.

Imagine after the line "I can't stop asking myself, w-why do I hate myself so much?" then goes with "I love you, Lucifer. Please, don't leave!" 😭🤧 No wonder Lucifer cried when Chloe told him she loves him, bcs out of all the beliefs he's bad and a monster- someone saw him for who he really is, accept him and love him... that's why Chloe will always be the one for him. I'm not crying 😭😭😭

And I can't dislike the scene in ep9 at the end when he opened up to her after she told him that he needs to forgive himself ))) So beautiful, heartwarming and heartbreakable at the same time ))) It's one of my favourite scenes in s4 after the last heartbreakable scene of their confession )))

I just finished watching the entire thing. Wow. What a great show. Tom Ellis is such a great actor (aside from his looks, has there ever been a more beautiful human?!???) The entire thing was heartwrenching and funny at the same time. I cried and I laughed. When he exclaimed his desire to love, to be ABLE to love... I broke down. I don't think I'll be able to watch it again in the near future. ❤️‍🩹

The pain and suffering that Lucifer had to endor, I got very emotional, felt so much sympathy for him, even God shouldn't be bad

This is excellemt work..tom is so perfect in this role ..always smiling and I am sure most people would that agree that rhe moment he is on screen ..there is always a rush of positivity..and in that we generally do forget the fact that how broken he really is..
