Unbelievably the best voice in a long time

My mom died last night, i had to dressed her up, she was cold and stiff, with a sutil smile, and we had to wait till the curfew from FUCKING COVID19 was lift in the morning, to take her straight to the cemetery, no mortician no funeral, no family, no hugs no kisses no friends no priests, no words. Just me crying and my prayers. Among us ( my brother, son, father) only the forensic doctor and 2 undertakers. I always loved this song, just popped into my head, now that I’m lonely and locked up with my kids... never in a million years would think I would see a face while listening it. And I see you mom😭 i laid down next to you, when you were asleep the other day and today when you were dead. I hope God receives you in heaven. I love you so much.

My husband encountered the Holy Spirit during their devotional prayer and touched his shoulder and said unto him, "GET PEOPLE"... Tears on his eyes started to flow without noticing he is crying already and he open his eyes and try to catch who touched him but no one near him. He thought he is crazy for thinking that weird thing but he asked the Lord to guide him whatever purposes He wanted to my him and he surrendered himself to Jesus. Now, the transformation I saw, that my children and I started to have our devotional prayer and learning to read the bible and listen to the words of the Lord with the leadership of hubby. Before, I seldom read the bible and even my children as well. I also noticed my husband is excited to attend mass to worship Jesus Christ, never happened before after our marriage, I was the one always reminding them to go to catholic church and attend Sunday mass... Until this moment we can not tell what is the plan of our Lord for my husband, it is a huge responsibilities and lots of sacrifices to face and even rejection but we offer this services to the Lord above and we believe in Him... Thank you Lord for keeping us always in our side even we tried to do our own ways.

I didn't realize this was live until I heard the cheers. Wow. Sam Smith is simply an amazing musician and artist.

I took care of my mom for a very long time in her old age and she passed away in dec. of 2013' this song hits me in my heart & soul so hard because I miss laying by her side in the mornings and talking to her even if she did not understand because of her Alzheimer's disease..Thank you Sam Smith for this wonderful heart warming song

got the same feeling. my mom passed away on oct 2015. this song reminds me all those difficult moments that we had together. who knew alzheimer would be the great villain in this story. so everytime i listen to this song i sing it trying to visualize her right netx to me, just like in old times. lyrics are almost too perfect to describe the feeling.

I went to his concert in Calgary and I was blown away by the control of his voice when he sings live. His falsetto is ridiculously good, and I was in shock with how good he sounded from beginning to end. Please come back to Calgary!

When this song came out, I just lost my dad suddenly like a thunderbolt in mid of summer. And those moments were too hard and painful for me to deal with ( and it still is.) I just wanted to hide away from all the people who were asking me like what happened to your dad? I didn't want to explain, I just wanted a silent companions but reality wasn't what I wanted. And this song hit me hard whenever I listened to it..

+josshlegg Usually I don't comment on videos, but I'm sorry, man. Your comment about American "stars" is absolutely absurd and out of line. You can't base how passionate or good an artist is because of their nationality. By doing that it makes your understanding of music seem premature. It doesn't matter if they're from England or North Korea, they all have their fake stars who are nothing but plastic but they also have their real stars who dedicate their life to the craft of music. Don't you see nationality doesn't mean crap in any art form? It's a universal language. To prove your point wrong, take a look at kendrick Lamar. He's from LA, more specifically Compton. He writes about issues in his community, global issues, and even issues we all face internally in our own lives. He's one of the biggest stars in the US. No one tells him what to write. You're right, the U.S. still has some plastic artists but so does everyone else. But not everyone in the US is what you claim.
