For those who don't know, Sam's dad is Robert Reich, the former Labor Secretary and progressive activist with his own KZread channel that Sam occasionally shows up in, so Sam comes from a pretty liberal family. Casting Sam as some nutty right-wing Rupert Murdoch-style conservative demagogue media mogul, this skit is basically designed to have Sam gut-bursting. Well done writers, well done.

I had idea, but you left out acclaimed economist, and honestly "former labor secretary" doesn't do justice to one of the most respected cabinet members of the last century. not exaggerating; and it's very rare for a cabinet member other than secstate, the AG, or in worse times secdef to have that sort of lasting legacy in the mind of the public (at least, of the informed public).

This is Katie's best performance by far. I loved how she read her part
I appreciate everyone at Dropout, but I gotta say, I think Grant is far and away the best Breaking News writer. Every time I see him in the writing credit for the episode I know for sure it's gonna be a good one. Has not failed me yet

This was an absolute masterpiece. Grant, you're a genius!
THIS is why I subscribe to Dropout, and STILL watch these on KZread :)
2:19 This is one of the very few instances where we can observe Katie break. What an absolute gem
Sam’s wife was like a sketch straight out of “I think you should leave”
Grant just losing his shit in the background the whole video is the best part of this 😂
HE GOT KATIE!!! This was absolutely brilliant 🤣🤣🤣
9:52 As punishment they have to watch me eat this suˢʰᶦʰᶦʰᶦ ᵐᵃᵈᵉ ʷᶦᵗʰ ᵍʳᵃᵖᵉˢ!
One of the best episodes you've made yet. Great job!
You can count the number of times Katy has laughed this entire series on one hand
Grant O'Brien, you have outdone yourself. Masterful.
this episode is so genius. i loved hearing grants unhinged laughter in the background constantly. that man is LIVING
After years of watching these, I never realized the script was in the ticker the entire time. Mind blown.
Ive watched and showed this to a dozen people a dozen times on dropout, and I'm watching it again!
