Yes, we Subb. In our opinion, Brandon Li and Yuri Palma are definitively on another level, that is, the Top, but agree that Kold has more followers

Instant sub, no questions asked. What an outstanding in depth, yet compact analysis. Seriously - great freaking job you guys!
Please do more of this! (breaking down/analyze certain aspects of transitions, shots, etc.)
This is so awesome! Thanks for making this. I really love how you timelined out the movement along leading lines. Always wondered how he makes those sequences look so smooth!
solid video!

That is such a detailed video mate! Love the effort! MVP

His style isnt unique, he copied his style from ‘Watchtower Of Turkey‘ by Leonardo Dalessandri who uploaded his video in 2014 when Sam was still a rookie.

I love Sam Kolder and his videos, but I have to say his editing style isn’t unique 😕
im really analyzing the movement in his videos. I'm about to go to Japan in October and im going to make my first travel video. The part that i can't get over is how he plans out his shots...probably the hardest part for me. This video helped a lot thank you!
Well well made! Enjoyed all the graphics and effort You put into this! 10/10
One of the best video analysis I’ve seen congrats🙌
Dude this video is incredibly made. Please please make more bro, I’ve subbed. This is so detailed and exciting to watch, I’d love to see more.

I followed sam kolder from time he made skateboard videos. I knew he will go big one day.
That was a great breakdown of Kolder's style!
Awesome man, this is going to be my go to vid for a while now, thanks for doing this. You know heaps of content creators are going to create stuff like sam now haha, but seriously, i am learning video and to be honest i like to copy peoples style to learn techniques. If we see something we really like, of course we want to know how they did it. Every artist learned techniques from artists before them, its like a collective evolution of artistry! Oh and just had to mention how effective that shot at 3:28 is, i got a little tickle in my downstairs mixup
Nice job! Love the breakdown of Sam's style
Still very helpful breakdown of kold's brilliant editing style. Notes taken. Thanks to both of you :)

Lisa Gehrig thank you!
Kolder is just a skillful and talented artist! Many of filmmakers (and not-filmmakers) wanna copy his style and that's why it turned into being "cliche". But nobody will every do something identical, something that has the "this" because it's his, author's and unique style. Really great job and inspired (to do something different)!
I like that little lesson at the end
Great job! Thx for your video!
Thank you for the nice analysis! Sam Kolder's style is so unique!
I‘d highly recommend you to take a look at ‘Watchtower Of Turkey‘ by Leonardo Dalessandri if you‘re not familiar with it already. It‘s the video all this transition heavy, on tune and flow-feeling like montage technique started with. So far I haven‘t found one video getting even close to this super elaborate and labor intense masterpiece.

i understand that and agree....I would say that JA is more natural without many Adobe, edit, camera transiions tricks...and SK takes edit and filmaking to the pro level. I guess that someone who isnt gifted for edit and producing, would make a movie more like JA than SK . I like both styles, but we learn more and get more thrileed with SK

Most of Jay's videos aren't even edited by him or he doesn't even film them. Notice that he appears in the video all the time doing crazy stuff or hanging with some girl. Can't credit him for most of ''his'' work. The dude who usually does everything is Greg Giselynck.

This was really educational. Great video!
good job! the question is now, how do we make good travel videos and avoid people telling us we are copying Sam Kolders Style?
I love this! I'm subscribing right now!
The very first travel video I was inspired was from MrBrynnorth - Life In Cape Town. The video is showing about nature life, I remember when the first time I watch it while i was high of maryJ. Then I found Jay Alvarrez videos before I know Sam Kolder. To me, MrBrynnorth, Jay Alvarrez and Sam Kolder have different kind of genre. And they all are my idols :)
Amazing. Thank you!
OMG! so nice! Brazil here.
well presentation .thank you.
100% the most under rated creator on this platform. This is incredible ,thank you for inspiring me,keep it up,I made video because of you
loved your attempt at this analysis, Sam's definitely an inspiration for fellow filmmakers like myself.

+S M A L thanks!
Good video and good breakdown. One thing to not is that when you say his use of time lapse, there are also hyper lapses as well. A time lapse is most always where the camera is stationary and on a tripod. A hyper lapse consists of lots of pictures taken one step at a time, which is how it looks like a time lapse but the camera gets closer to the subject.
I like the music you’ve selected
