NYC is alright, but the rest of New York is neglected for it. If you want the NYC experience (culture, food, parks) it’s worth it to pop over to the Hudson Valley. If you go even further north/west of there, there’s beautiful woods, farms, and some smaller but nice cities.

Katz’s food is great but the process is a nightmare and pure stress. NYC has great food though, just gotta do neighborhood spots.

Protip: If you want the best food in NYC don't go to all the "BEST" spots, go to the secondary's, the 2nd to 5th place, don't go to Levain or any of the meme restaurants, they're rarely as good, maybe one out of the top 10 most mentioned restaurants are actually as good as anyone says, but the secondary ones are almost always actually trying. I firmly believe the number one rated spots are all psy ops to act as tourist sponges so they don't annoy everyone. Because French tourists are the worst. (I prefer them over migrants and the rest though.)
