Sam is still a well known fighter in my country, Japan, but the news of his heart attacks were not reported on time. I was very surprised when I heard that for the first time, but it seems he has recovered completely. I hope he takes good care of himself.
Respect to Sam as the Australian 'outsider' in Euro-dominated K1. Watching classic K1 fights in these times - him, Benardo, Hoost, Aerts, Crocop etc, pretty much all of them. K1 was soooooo epic. Hope you stay healthy

Bravado nearly killed him
I don’t understand how a legend like Sam has a heart attack with 98% cardiovascular blockage while being a fit specimen of a warrior? Was it a bad diet? I don’t think he used steroids, I wonder what caused it. 🤔
