If AI is 10% better in something that it's already 98% as good as humans, it'll be better than humans by almost 10%. This marks a new era in AI and a huge step towards AGI.

nice video as always! but just a small correction/advice: it's better to not be quantitative if the mesured qantity isn't specified. like wdym by 10% better. that has no quantitative meaning. it just qualitatively means, that it's better. and y=exp(IQ). like what exactly is meant by y or the the problem solving ability? and 100x increse in capabilities, again, like what is that?

is there a limit to IQ? i think when you reach a point where you fully understand physics then IQ or intelligence would stop making sense

So here's the thing. IQ is not a good metric for an AI, because it's like testing a dictionary against a human for ability to be an author. That the dictionary knows all the words does *not* mean that the dictionary is a literary genius. The idea that GPT has an IQ of 155 makes me laugh. I won't say what my IQ is, but it's not this high. I am constantly admiring how not intelligent GPT is on the regular, and can very easily marvel at how unable it is to do "intelligent" things. What GPT does have is a large dictionary of knowledge, but it is not yet anywhere near being able to use that knowledge in the way an intelligent human can. Outside the expansive knowledge base built into the system, I would put it's practical IQ (at best) at 90.

did you ever try to write "meaningful" lyrics with gpt4? from my experience, anything that needs to be surprising and creative, that 155 IQ seems to be missing a few points there... it has little to no "vision". Unless anyone found a way to make it have a better creative vision?
