@@JP-sx3bk No, I think it's a relationship with Christ that compels them. This is just how the relationship manifest it's self in their lives. No one commits themselves to a life of sacrifice without a very personal reason. This is something you do for someone else. Not for yourself. But I do believe, we're all called to do it in some way. Some people don't take is seriously, some do.

I love Gregorian chants but I can also understand that others feel closer to God with a different kind of music. There should be space among us for both the old and the new. I don't see why our churches couldn't have a traditional service AND a modern mass at different times every Sunday.

I am converting from Protestant to Catholic. This is such a blessing. God put a new song in my mouth.

Listening to these Gregorian chants and meditating on Jesus give me such peace in this difficult time, they allowed me to sleep after so many sleepless nights. I got married a month and a half ago. The lead-up, the planning, it was all very stressful but the morning of the ceremony I put this hymn on and played it on repeat the entire morning. All of my worries were quelled, and I felt totally at peace as I was about to enter the biggest moment of my life. And everything was wonderful :) Thank you, Brothers. Thank you, Mary. Please check out the Catholic Ordinariates made up mainly of converts from the Anglican/Episcopal churches to Catholicism while preserving many aspects of the Anglican rite including the hymns. You would most probably feel at home in the Ordinariate.

My father went to Providence College, run by the Dominicans. The four years he spent there deepened his faith and made him a better man (according to him). One of the Dominicans married my parents, and he remained a family friend for many years. When he came to spend his two weeks' vacation with us, I remember walking around the neighborhood with him----his hand holding mine. I was only six years old, but I still remember him stopping to talk to the neighbors, being invited in for coffee, having a neighborhood potluck after saying the rosary, and being a man devoted to his faith and God.

It is wonderful to see so many young men that they are glorifying God! 🙏🙏🙏🙅‍♀️🙋‍♀️🇺🇸🌷

My lovely priest is Nigerian, I’m in England. He’s a wonderful priest.

I went for an event in Nigeria, where an Old boy of Marist Brother college was wedding. So the old boys gathered and they were to sing their school anthem. Lo and behold, they sang Salve Regina. My heart dropped in ecstacy and unexplainable feelings. I felt the inexhaustible love of our Blessed mother Mary. This song draws heaven down to earth.

Salve Regina 🕯️. It always reminds me of my late dad's favourite song. Having attended catholic school he embrace the values and tradition and never forgot until his transition. It a song that draws my soul to the celestial, call for meditation and connecting to the divine. Honour to Mary glory to Jesus.

I am blessed to be a Catholic.

This makes my heart sing. ❤ So much negativity everywhere about everything … including the church. When I see these young men and their love of Christ and His church, our Lord’s words appease my soul, “I will never leave you. I will be with you always.”

God bless these men and guide them. This music expresses something of the beauty, infinity and mystery of God.

Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners. God knows, we need it today.

Protestant here-magnificent. This nos what heaven will sound like.

I love how reverent they are, and how respectful they are to Mary the Holy Mother of Jesus. I want to thank them for the nice reminder and example of how anyone and everyone can do it too. And now I feel closer to God so I will find a way to uplift someone else. I'd be pleased if that someone then uplifted another person 😀

After many years of searching for soothing music, I can honestly say I have found it. Not even nature noises sooth my soul as these praises to God do. Even while rock music plays near me, these chants eminate a much more powerful meaning. I have never before felt such renewed strength and devotion!

I'm so happy to see so many young faces, it means a lot.

We sang Salve Regina in my junior Catholic school in Scotland in the 1950s, and at Novenas to our Lady in church. Glad to see Bishop Robert Barron at the service in the Dominican House in Washington. Bishop Barron spoke in Scotland a few years ago.
