It's a really well thought out set! I agree that it has some lovely extras that make it feel quite bespoke and luxurious. It's a nice testing experience that I wish more brands would think about. Thanks for watching 🥰

I've heard of this house, mainly through the freebie samples they give away from time to time via Facebook. Every scent of theirs I've heard of sounds kind of "basic" and a bit meh. Many have sounded fresh / aquatic and perhaps more traditionally masculine leaning, and so overall just not to my taste, or interesting enough to make me care to be honest! You did a good job to get through all 20 Claire 🙂 dedication to the cause for sure! But I think you also confirmed what I'd already suspected, that this is unlikely a house I'm fussed about digging into any more.

Hi Emma! Lovely to hear from you! ❤️ It's weird, but there are hardly any reviews for Saltworks... I hadn't even heard of the brand until a subscriber told me about them and said she was going to send me her discovery set... In the meantime, the brand contacted me and sent me two! 😱 And you know what? It took me absolutely ages to do this review 🤣 I wrote all 20 after three months with them just before my laptop failed in April and then lost them and had to retry them all and start again 🤦‍♀️ nightmare! I think if brands want a speedy review, sending 20 at a time isn't the way to go about it 🤣 I can't say these were at all for me, I have to be honest otherwise there is absolutely no point in doing this. There was the odd one that I liked though. Thanks for watching 🥰

Hi Claire, looking forward to this video! It’s nice that you got the sets for free! 😊 Love Story sounds nice to me but my husband probably wouldn’t like the rose or spice. No to cat pee lol but from the description I would have thought I’d have liked it too. I love orange blossom and sandalwood

Thanks Mona. I was happy to try these but I can't say that most were for me. There were some likes though! Haha 😂 I find partners quite often change their opinion on exactly the same fragrance, it can be hard to pin it down! Thanks for watching 🥰

I love how you add your final thoughts in the end, it helps so much! I feel like there are just sooo many brands that would do better as room sprays and candles. I agree with you that it is a matter of your personal taste, however sometimes it may feel disappointing and makes you wonder "What's the point?" Every brand is trying to create perfumes now 🙈

I am sorry to say it, but I have to be honest, there's absolutely no point in this otherwise. I do think they have some nice fragrances but for me a lot are more candle or home fragrances rather than perfumes. It's so so subjective though and I'm sure someone else would love some of these as perfumes. We're all different 😊 thanks for watching 🥰

I have a travel size of Tabac Soleil and love wearing it on a cold winter’s day.

I hadn't heard of them either until a subscriber told me about them and then I got contacted by the company a few weeks later so I thought people might be interested in a review, which is why I agreed. Yes! They brought out a men's one, a woody and spicy and a romantic set all in the last 5 months. They seem to be very hot on new launches. There are often new fragrances being launched too. Thanks for watching 🥰

Nice surprise to see a video of yours midweek Claire 😊 I've never heard of Saltworks. That was quite the project testing 20 fragrances! As you say a fair number of these might be better as home scents, candles etc.

Absolutely it was! And I wrote the reviews first time around back in March and then my laptop failed and I lost them all 😂 and I had to do it all again 😂 I can't say these grabbed me sadly. It's a well thought out discovery set though with the blotters and booklet. It was nice to try them. 🥰

I've never heard about these but you know they're good if Claire is reviewing them 😁 Also nice suprise video in the middle of the week!

Ko Meme reminds me of the Viva La Juicy fragrances 11:07 😂 It does smell like a candle. I still get that Mr Kipling feel I didn’t like De La Mer 🫣

Oh yes! That's actually probably a better comparison! It's very sweet! I get what you mean about Mr Kipling, the heavy texture of the icing and the moist feel along with the sweetness. I struggled with a lot of the aquatics sadly, they just aren't my bag. 🙈

Excellent overview Claire. 💜 Didn't even know about this brand. Bottle designs remind me of Hugo Boss meets Phaedon meets Zara meets PdM. 😄 Incidentally wearing Tabac Rouge today layered with Kayaan Classic. 😊 A bombastic combo.

Me neither until a subscriber contacted me about them, then very strangely the brand contacted me about 3 weeks later... It was super odd timing!

I bought the original discovery set to try last year. Wasn’t impressed at all. Some of them instantly reminded me of a few designer perfumes I already own. To me they are just glorified designer perhaps niche dupes. When I asked the question if they are dupes on their instagram post, my post got instantly deleted. They are also far too expensive for what they are.

I can completely understand that. The original discovery set did make me think of a few things, but nothing was that spot on. I can't say I loved these, and I was in two minds whether to even make a review as I hate to be negative, but they just weren't for me, as you can see from my conclusions! I thought most might work better as home fragrances or soaps. It's a bit sad if posts are deleted, it's a fair question to ask, I agree that these seem expensive. Thanks for watching 🥰

I have never heard of Salt Works. Oh L’Orangerie sounds amazing actually but I am a sucker for citrus as it really energizes me and is always bright! Love the makeup as well balanced well with the colours of your top! 🥰🥰

Well I'm interested to here about these. So much praise and hype everywhere. One like Coco M but not really? Well nothing can compare to that. An imagined indolic flower, super sweet, probably not one I'd love. Cat pee is something I'm very familiar with. Midnight Orchid, what a promising name. A shame with the next one. Halfeti sadly for me was very flat and missed something. Liquoricey does sound promising tho. I tend to struggle with fragrances that are still there are a flicker of the lights and closing time bell. Tobac, vanillic candles. I don't think my house ever smells like that 🤣. Wow you were a tobacco dealer 😉 you never fail to surprise 😂. Bathroom air freshers are certainly needed in the Snow household. Generic bathroom 😂 you've been to nicer bathrooms than me. Yea I'm not a bluer lover. I like real figs in perfume it's not a love. I can't do with that creamy feel. Aquatic ones really aren't for me. I'd like Pomegranate tho maybe, it's a shame that wasn't in it. Neroli is a note I'm not a lover of. Oliver oil isn't a bad smell I guess. Ah another sea aquatic one. This wouldn't be a love I don't think. Ocean Drive a great Lighthouse People song. Rainy sounds OK, not sure though I like creamy rain Ah that classic citrus aromatic Dna. But like sweets, sounds OK. Aquatic freshness, yea probably not for me. Claire. I really appreciate these actual reviews, and actual real person experiences. I did wonder if every single fragrance ever from a brand all these people seemed to love. You know I'd even see a person who works for a PR company waxing lyrical 🙄 erm ok, very "subjective" 😉 I know this is an unpopular opinion but I think the same with Jo Malone, they'd be better candles and room sprays.

Lol Jon! I grew tobacco for my scientific research 😂 the flowers can self fertilise but they are also easy to cross with other plants. They are a genetic researcher's dream. They are a bit sticky to work with but smell amazing (if you like the smell 😂). I am sorry that I mostly didn't enjoy these, I wanted to love them, but I can't recommend something I wouldn't want. Having said that, I did like some of their fragrances here, just not enough to buy any. I really think some of these would work very well as soaps or room fragrances and I know the company also sells those, so hopefully those do well for them. I get what you mean with Jo Malone, but I didn't try them before the times of L'Oréal so perhaps I can't judge. Thanks for watching 🥰

Yes, it is a gorgeous smell, so honeyed and sweet and so so sticky! I used to try to leave the greenhouse with plants stuck to me 😂

Interesting! Sounds like they might be better suited for use in home and body type scents as opposed to fine fragrance? Edit : lol you just said exactly that in your conclusion. I should have watched til theend before commenting I am wearing Kilian Woman in Gold tonight and it really reminds me of the scent used in the Oi range by Davines haircare if you have ever smelled that. They do a hand balm in that range that I absolutely adore and need to rebuy 🖤

Yes! I am sad to say that was my conclusion. Ooh! Yes I've tried that one. I've not tried any Davines haircare or other products though. I watch Hailey O (Just buy the makeup) and she's always talking about Davines. They sound good! 😊
