Most of your lures, especially top water plugs, your go-to knot will be the loop knot. Especially during cold fronts. As you get more advanced, i always kept a 3ft cast net and mesh bait motel and would catch the bait at the spot then "free line" braid w/fluor and circle hook and slay them. No weights.

@MassBasterDavid and that's the funnest part, learning what works and how your spots change. But it's fishing, they'll eat if they're hungry. I heard you said you wanted to get a snook. They are ambush fish. Work your lures in front of the mangroves/structure/pylons and be ready to pull them out so they don't break you off. Good luck and have fun, tight lines.

@MassBasterDavid anytime! Hope it helps. Would you mind sharing the 2 spots in the video? I think you're in palm beach county and I'm from Tampa, now in boynton trying to take my 2 year old son out. Boynton doesn't have any spots that look like these and they remind me of the flats back home.
