Salt dough recipe I used calls for 2 cups flour,1 cup salt and 1 cup warm water (I added a tea bag to give the dough a golden colour).In large bowl mix water and salt until dissolved.Gradually add flour to form a soft dough.Roll,cut ,bake and decorate!Bake at 250 F 1-2 hours depending on the thickness.I painted a coat of matte varnished on them then frosted them with featherweight spackle mixed with craft paint!Have fun!

This was the first time I made a salt dough ornament and I left them in the oven for 2 hours and the tops of them cracked. Would you have any tips on why it cracked? Love your channel everything you makes me hungry!

Hi Pink Tree, I cant seem to push lightweight Spackle through the tiny star tip. I tried thining down but still no luck any ideas?
