Salmon Fishing in Gold Beach Oregon
For years I drove over the bridge in Gold Beach Oregon during salmon fishing season and saw all the boats in the river fishing. I love fishing and grew up in Oregon, but never took the time to try fishing for salmon on the Rouge River. This summer my brother-in-law decided to book a trip to go fishing with the family and invited me along. It was a blast. We got to see a lot of wildlife and managed to take home three fish. We barbecued one of the salmon that night and it was delicious. There were a ton of boats in the water fishing, but that just made it a little more interesting. I hope you enjoy the video.

If that idiot grabbed the rod when I’m reeling in a fish, he couldn’t drop on the dock me off fast enough.

I wish I could tell you, but to be honest I can't rwmember now. The guide was a friend of the family and I don't believe he does it for hire anymore.

I would be pissed if that guide kept touching my rod and telling me how to fight a fish all the time

That's exactly what I was gonna say.. I would have thrown him "Overboard" like Goldie Hawn!. He needs to shut up, keeps his hands to himself and just net the fish when he needs to.. That would have pissed me off..

Salmon trip on the Susitna R. Alaska one of our lodge guides, a rookie, grabbed my buddies rod with fish on and the rod broke. NEVER EVER do what this guy in the video did !
Do NOT eat salmon raw like that. Freeze first. Holy cow!
