Such a horrific series of events and it’s amazing how she has come through it and is now helping others. As for the facial tattoo, it’s not hers to wear, and I think it’s a shame that she has chosen to get it as it has significantly detracted from her amazing story and message.

Sally Anderson is an Inspiration for what she has been thru and where she is today - Spiritually and Mentally ❤️ There will be controversy about the tā moko she is wearing, however, I believe she deserves it, and she wears it proud and powerfully, considering that most of her perpetrators would have been Māori! Kia Ora e whaea. Proud to be from TOKOROA as well 😊 Bred only, but most of my younger family members were born there ❤️

I don't agree with her wearing a moko kauae. I would encourage her to find something directly from her own whakapapa to represent herself. It's not about her as a person, it's about wearing what belongs. No matter how you phrase it (where she grew up, husband, what she been through), that moko is not hers to wear.
